I’ve built this farm twice now on my bedrock realms. Such a great farm thanks for the tutorial! If anyone has problems getting the iron golems to spawn in the water I recommend following the decorations exactly or just de-fancying the build so that there are no spawn able blocks on the structure. I also added an extra row of bushes it seems to help the golems spawn and stay in the water flow.

@aJackMinecraft
@aJackMinecraft Жыл бұрын
@@alanisluna3817 I had one built in Bedrock and it's working. I think the common mistake is the location of the iron farm. It MUST be >100 blocks away from any village or villager with bed. Also, you shouldn't place any more bed / job site block within 96 blocks radius. Check the mechanics explanation in this video so you could know how it works.

The design is fantastic. The explanation at the beginning is very good. I rebuilt the wooden house step by step. It was almost as beautiful as yours. Then I placed the lava and the first golem ran in. The house caught fire and was 50% burned down. I decided to bring a little German style into the house. I completely replaced the wood with stones. In the end I think it's important to place the water first and then the lava so that the golem can't run around as a torch and start fires.

If you find any green mob just kill it and wait 2. Make sure u are far away from village as he explained . 3. I have personally felt there were more golems when I stay close to farm . 4. Try to keep a water bucket handy while placing lava . ( I burnt my farm by a wrong click , had to rebuild ) 5. Keep checking for cats caught in glass chamber , you can rescue them by temporary breaking a glass block and place it back after the cat escapes(😢 I love cats can't watch them burn ) 6. Remember to use the water bucket in exact same spots as shown else the zombie may get stuck . Good luck ❤

Spent three days remaking and modifying this farm. Its almost the exact same, but I built the Java version at first so had to destroy some. Instead of the crimson gates and lava, I used campfires with signs placed on top of them so the water wouldnt put out the fire. Theyre a block below the stone slabs so they fall in and continue struggling to get out. Nether portal spawned in a stupid place so had to figure out another way. It works perfect like that! Have campfires in a circle with your original opening in the middle. Under the fires are hoppers and the iron just falls through so the hoppers can catch them. Sitting afk nearby, it takes about a minute or two for golems to spawn. Thanks for the video! Almost gave up a couple times but i hate mining so it was worth it.
@aJackMinecraft

Happy to hear all the modifications you did and you got it working at the end. I use lava because it killed iron golem faster and it improves the iron ingot rate. But I do like the idea of dropping them on some campfire in the center. Its just like a building on top of a onsen.

For anyone who can't easily get to the nether to gather resources, like me, go for campfires instead! I was so sad to have this whole thing nearly completed when I found out I had to go to the nether (with my chump leather armor) to finish it! The whole point of this thing was to allow me to afford to go somewhere like the nether. Anyway, I'm playing Bedrock and, yes, if you can't get to the nether to get the supplies needed to float lava in the air, make campfires a block below the stone slabs, exactly as described here, and just ditch the basement altogether and/or doll it up in your own way. Thanks so much to Rose for the help here, and thanks so much to Jack for the design and village mechanics explanation. My son and I are having a blast.

Another note in Bedrock 1.20.1: For some reason, Golems consider the flat area around the block on which a wall or fence sits to be spawnable, thereby breaking the farm. I experienced this with the walls running along side the stream, which resulted in Golems getting up on the leaf blocks or stepping out of the stream and standing there. Choosing another block that fills the area that is not spawnable or walk-able from an adjacent flat area is recommended (such as reversed stairs).

Well done sir! Looks great! It's true bedrock mechanics are infuriating. The mechanics you explain are in line with my findings as well. I found the most reliable setup is the 20 beds between 2 spawn layers, with the beds surrounding a central drop shoot for the golems. Around the perimeter of the second spawn layer I positioned all villagers, locked to their POI with no pathfinding options. Around all this I built a castle with half-slab floors (basically, no possible spawn locations on the interior). Even with all these precautions, the farm will eventually break when the villagers randomly choose a POI they cannot get to and are unable to work. I thought to release all the villagers from their locations to be able to path, but then they can wander outside the 32 block center... Basically what I'm saying is to make a functional AND aesthetic farm on bedrock is a challenge, and you have done a wonderful job!
@aJackMinecraft
@aJackMinecraft Жыл бұрын
Thank you! It's good to have someone understand the pain 😂. I thought breaking all beds and POI would reset village too. But you know what, normally a villager can only detect POI in a radius of 16 blocks, but somehow they got super sense after that and link to a bed that is super far away... I have to murder everyone to reset properly every time. I wish one day you can choose a village leader and tie him to the bed or the bell give you an option to set as centre. Then imagine all the great things you can build around the farm.

I have a tip! Sometimes I noticed a golem that spawns in a corner right beside the center logs is stuck until it pathfinds out of the corner. It doesn't happen often at all, but I saw it a couple times. I'm using walls with my farm, both because it looks nicer / matches my builds and I had some trouble with the golems stepping up onto the leaves after spawning. My fix was only putting two buckets into each of the spawn platform sections- one in each corner. The water won't flow completely to the middle in the middle but it's fine since the iron golem's hitbox is bigger than a single block. That will funnel the golems into the center as it's pushed to the hole! This little thing has worked a charm for me and I've dug the storage down into a basement with an auto dropper hooked up to a big storage, an AFK room with a frog terrarium (two of each kind of frog, naturally), and by the storage a fish tank then axolotl tank. It looks nice, matches my build style once I swapped the palette a little, and it's off to the races!

@@aJackMinecraft I tried replacing the walls with outward-facing stairs at one point but had the same issue with golems getting on top of them. thankfully the whole thing is up high enough that they'll eventually walk down into the water anyway. Having the water only the two corners helps to funnel them to the middle, so it'll start moving them away from the retaining wall (whatever it is) immediately so they don't get to step up. Walls are doing a dandy for it, and the water in just the platform corners is doing a great job!

For those building the version 2 on JAVA, make sure to replace all the azalea leaves into fence gates and the center logs 3 up also into fence gates. Because idk why but the iron golem often spawns right at the edge (Almost in the azalea leaves) thus the water can't pust it the only way the iron golem will get unstuck is by pushing it or the iron golem moving and doing those is not really effective. The fence gate I placed seems to work cause it isn't a full block and if the iron golem spawns at the edge again it will get pushed by the water instead of being stuck in the leaves.
@lzzz6832

I built this in Java and there's a problem where the Iron Golem would get stuck in the platforms and my theory is that the hitbox is large enough that when it spawns, the hitbox would be in between the platform and the blocks causing it to not get pushed by the water. In the end I had to ugly-fy the Iron Farm by increasing the height of the sides of the platform by 1 with pistons and wiring them all up with additional blocks so that the pistons activates every few seconds to push the Iron Golem into the current flow. Thanks for the tutorial though! It helps :D

So I built this in java 1.20.4 on a realm, and there is a couple of issues: 1. The leaves and buttoned logs on the iron golem spawn area is not spawnproof. The iron golem will spawn here 90% of the time and spend a lot of time before wandering off in to the water. This can simply be fixed by putting slabs on top of the leaves and logs (replacing the buttons) 2. The Zombie will occasionally hit the villagers, and over time kill them. This can simply be fixed by placing a third slab inbetween the two slabs on top of the glass holding the zombie.

So....I can tell already that eventually, you may get golems outside your desired spawning radius with this build. Generally, to he safe, you need a spawning platform that is about 17x17, just in case the 'village center bed' desides to move when you log in....BUT....if it does become a problem, all you have to do is make the area around your build non-spawnable.....with leaves, pathways, buttons and carpets, for example. You can definitely tie it into the landscape and make it beautiful to match the beautiful build! Thanks for thinking of us Bedrock players. Iron farms are a total PAIN on this platform and even harder to make aesthetic. I usually hide mine in a mountain and do all my trading underneath, but I will definitely be giving yours a shot! Edit: Also, I will add that to make an iron farm with maximum efficiency, you need a 'village' of 40 beds. A village will be able to have one golem active for every ten beds. 40 beds means you can have 3 golems active at all times. It will raise your rates considerably. Edit on my edit: This farm has broken after 3 weeks and I'm not sure why. =/ Edit on the edit of my edit: Figured it out.....a villager breached containment somehow from my breeder and wandered over. Broke the whole system. Do NOT let random villagers anywhere near this farm!!!

@@aJackMinecraft you can also just trade with them once. It helps lock their job in and prevent de-linking. I personally have MORE trouble with water in a situation like yours. If you, like me, built this farm in a village because you just skipped the intro, you don't have to move it, you can just remove the bell in the center of the village (and maybe remove all beds and workstations in the houses) and it should start working :)

I'm playing on Bedrock 1.20 and the Golems will not spawn on Stone Slaps. I use normal Stone for the Floor and it works perfectly.

you have to place a slab on the upper side of the block, meaning the Y coordonate cant end in e.g 70.50000 you have to place the slab on the upper side of the block so it ends at 71.0000

😀Thankyou for the bedrock build I now have so much IRON and a steady flow of BONE MEAL I will have to build some grand projects. I added a simple sorting system to the collection area to remove the poppies which I automatically turn into bone meal. I named 5 cats ( cat1 cat 2 etc ) so they no longer spawn or very rarely as in the iron chests.

Do you have to be within a certain distance of the build for it to work? Like if I'm too far away it won't do anything unless I'm physically there.

This Iron Farm works perfectly on Bedrock but you need to use a border Marker, I used FoxyNoTails Border Marker pack, the hedges land outside the border, therefore the Golems do not land on the Hedges, make sure you start in the centre and everything will work out fine, in fact amazing. I have also made the wheat Windmill but I didn't use the border pack and it works very slowly, after putting the border marker next to it I found that it was between 2 borders, so only half was working and making production slow, hence it needs re-doing, Great work aJack, I absolutely love your designs, Thank you for sharing.

I built your house exactly as you told me except for the floor under the villagers. The house got almost burned down twice because a zombie couldn''t stand daylight coming in through the windows. The 3rd time one with a helmet spawned. He could stand daylight. To prevent burning down again I exchanged the wooden floor with a stone one. It was built 120 blocks away from the nearest village. But no iron golems spawned at all. I left the looms in place like you built them in bedrock, but they were pretty high in the wall for the villagers. I don't know if that is the problem. I didn't have the impression that they were aware of a workstation although there were 25 above their heads. Instead they were clearly scared and running from wall to wall away from the zombie. I also gave them a stack of bread. Dunno what to do next. So i could use some help here. It's my 5th iron farrm without iron golems. Getting a bit frustrated here... Can it be because of wrong settings? It's built in 1.21 creative mode and when finished set to survival hard.

They will only burn if there is a block, not above it. It doesn’t matter around it. That’s how the hostile mobs work in Minecraft around it doesn’t matter just above it does

Thank you, for the tip. I placed 2 more beds in the center, between the the 2 rows. I made also a path up to the roof, made a Hole and placed a gate in the opening of the roof and lured a zombie up there to scare the villagers. placed a bed in center of the working area, just to check if some of the villager would go to sleep. Since I got a couple of whits during the breeding. And villager kids took some days to grow up. Not sure if it was needed. But the frustration of the farm not working made me Try almost everything. And as other people have recomanded, nametagged five cats to avoid villager spend time spawning more cats, when They despawn. It has been running for an hour or so, and it produce about 3 Stack plus. Which is good enough for me, since I dont have to mine for iron. Again @elcioamorim thank you very much for the tip, much apreciated❤🎉

Edit: after 2 hour running it produce 10 Stacks of iron, so it will be 320 ingots per hour. I Also noticed there was one villager without proffession, but since it is working, I’ll just gonna leave him there, so I dont ruin it again.

Alternate Design Java 2: Few problems I'm having is the villagers would constantly delink from the working bench, and at night would not try and attempt to sleep, 1 disappeared and the other suffocated from waking up into a block. At first it was working fine, but strangely not a single cat spawned, then afterwards the golems stopped spawning, leading to this issue I'm having now.
