I've had a similar experience recently, one thing I noticed with building is that the old textures make even the simplest builds look WAY better than they otherwise would in modern versions. I don't know how that works, but it's really interesting

I felt the same, but I'm not exactly sure why either. Maybe the harsher textures lower the overall standard of the builds? Or maybe it's just because our perception on what a good build is has changed with the textures. But yeah, I definitely noticed it whilst working on this video because the builds are awful lol
