I think crocodiles are a good idea, but they should be neutral. I think it’s a good way to add more ambiance to the swamps, and maybe as a possible feature they eat most animals in the game, and upon eating them it drops the animal’s loot, and it sometimes drops a crocodile tooth. The croc normally eats the meat an animal drops (if they do drop meat), but they would be incredibly useful in mob farms if you do it right. The crocodile tooth could possibly be used to create some new items too, you could just turn it into bone meal, use it to make a new banner pattern, combine it with bones to make a bone pile block, use it to craft bone arrows or a bone dagger, which upon killing animals has the looting effect, so you get more meat and leather/wool. You can also smelt the teeth in a furnace to make hardened crocodile teeth, which you can combine in a crafting table to build the bone totem, and upon holding this in your offhand, it also gives you this looting effect with animals, which can stack with your bone arrows or dagger. Croc could have a lot of cool uses.

Yea but a lot of it is glitchy and/or just use vanilla mechanics differently. Mojang cares about making sure everything added doesn't mess up anything else, it only adds to the experience. They could simply add a whole bunch of stuff but then the base game would become a bloated, glitchy, non optimized load of crap that most mod packs tend to end up as. There's rarely ever a mod pack that runs almost the same at the end, which might only take a few weeks to accomplish, as it did in the beginning. And not to mention Mojang works on 2 separate versions at the same times and tries to bring everything to both, while modders really only work on one version or the other mainly Java.

I wish they would do a savannah update, and they add similar things to ‘We are the Rangers’. Imagine a bunch of African animals, and poachers that are like pillagers but you get rewards from new ‘Rangers’ that are like villagers but they fight the poachers. Problem is Minecraft not adding real hostile mobs, due to not wanting to increase (sharks for example) hunting of the animal, so most likely would not see poachers.

The Poacher has so much potential. Introduced in a "Minecraft Savanna Update" they live in Structures like this or buildings mixed of termite blocks (which they nibble/ gnaw on) and acacia wood. Maybe a neutral mob that attacks you when you attack Animals or destroy termite blocks. Maybe a light, weak overworld form of the piglin. The magician one is not as cool with the annoying small tornados. The spear is cool as a cheaper craftable sort of trident, but I‘m not quite sure of it getting company but yk, maybe. The tornados however can‘t be controlled, etc. Have a nice day!

Tbh both crocodile and poachers are good not to mention both can make the biomes they live in aka swamp and savannahs more of an interesting and threatening place
