God I love how the Manbear didn’t even climb to attack you, he just did it to show he could. That’s why the Manbear is so effective as a horror mod. Before attacking you straight away, he shows you what he can do, almost like he’s trying to tell you “I can kill you whenever I want.” You can’t feel safe anywhere if he’s lurking near.

A great end to a great series. Something I realised about the manbear is that it hunts like humans do. It wears down its prey until it physically can't run any longer. You were literally on three hearts and about to freeze before the manbear finally caught up to you; it's genius! I love this mod, and I can't wait for it to release if you end up doing so, great job Someguy! :D

idk, but i'd like to see the manbear in a proper tundra environment, i.e. very few trees, villages are rare, and the only consistent sources of food are things like reindeer, elk and hardy shrubs. The environment is perpetually cold, resources are scarce, weather events like blizzards consistently impede survival and travel, and all the while the manbear is out there, observing your every step.. Edit: 24:00 you know you're lonely when you outright have a conversation with the unknowable entity that has been stalking you for months

Idea: Ever hear the campfire horror story "Tailypo?" Story goes an old man lived up in the mountains with his dogs, and would hunt for his meat. One day he was pissed he didn't have any meat, and was gonna have to have his beans without any meat. Something like a giant weasel comes climbing out of his attic, and the old geezer takes a shot at it, cutting off the creatures tail. He cooks and eats the tail with the beans. Night passes on a few hours, and he hears a scratching at his cabin door "Give it back, Give me my tail back." It cries. He sends out his dogs to "Get that ugly weasel!" Each time he sends his dogs out, one less dog returns, until he is all outta dogs, and the creature takes its tail back from the old hunter's guts. Mob idea: Largely harmless until attacked the Tailypo disguises itself as a raccoon, fox, or rabbit. Once attacked, it drops its tail, which provides a full hunger bar and full saturation when cooked and eaten, it then transforms into a hideous oversized weazel and runs off. If you eat the tail, the creature hunts you with a similar AI to the Manbear, with one particular caveat. It hates dogs. Wolves will automatically try to attack this thing, and when it kills a wolf, it runs off to return later. There are only two real ways to survive this creature, one is to constantly sacrifice dogs to it, to keep it away each night, trying to keep your dogs breeding to ensure your survival, or if you have no dogs left, deal enough damage to get it to run away, it is ultimately still a wild animal, albeit a demonic one. Can't be killed, but no predator wants to waste calories when its prey can fill it with a couple rounds of buckshot. Maybe sometimes you can find carcasses of dead animals each time you drive it off, to show that it is feeding itself regardless. Once you are killed, the Tailypo takes its tail back from your guts with a horrible ripping sound, and stops hunting you until its tail is stolen again. Maybe if you don't eat the tail right away it can try to break whatever chest you have stored it in, to take it back.

Six nights at Manbear's were such an amazing experience. I haven't seen any other mc mod with that level of quality (I've seen not so many mods, but still). Bears already are unpredictable and extremely dangerous animals, and then we have this.... Thing. He's clearly enjoying of what he's doing. He's here not to eat you (well, not primarily for this), but to torture your sanity. Absolutely cool project overall. IMO you should make him remember player's phrases. It would be interesting for Season 2 to have you fighting back more actively, like making a sword to defend yourself. Maybe have it set where there are other a few other monsters, but the Manbear is one of if not the most dangerous among them. Would also be interesting to do it in multiplayer, as its voice mimicry could be even creepier as it's mimicking your friends even if they are not around, so you hear a friend thinking your safe, then realizing that it's not your friend.

My suggestion: Putting scent meter and sound meter for the olayer would be great. Noisemeter- would indicate on how sound you make steps make 2-5 sound that is not that hearable for him then breaking sounds is either on the 10 or 20 category. Depends if the sound is high pitch like glass or ice will make 30 if its gras maybe 16-21 on normal blocks and but weapons or screaming will lead to either 40-60 which the meter turns either to orange to red because 40 if your talking normally and 60 or above if your screaming. Scent meter- is used if you kill something or leave something behind Example: if you kill an animal or anything that is a living creature it leaves a scent of the animal on you that reaches either 50-65 because of the scent trail while items in your inventory would cause three categories Food, Scentless, Fragrance and Natural four of them can reach high or low meters. Fragrance like honey, flowers or certain types of fragrant will reach to 50-70 while steak or other kinds of food will reach 40-50 while scentless like glass and other kinds will reach 5-10 Natural like grass and wood will reach 10-20 but blood when you get injured badly will reach to 90 and above and triggers the rage, hunt or bloodthirsty meter to the manbearbut minor injury will reach only 40-50, basically both of them enhances the cautiosness and paranoia on the player. Custom weapons: •Hunting Crossbow (made from two wood blocks not plank,three iron ingots, enhanced silk basically two string and an iron nugget) •Shotgun (only found on ranger cabins, igloo, hunting cabins, ranger towers, and other camping or forrest related structure that you could come up with) •Sniper Rifle (an exclusive weapon that can only be found on the rare hunter cabin where full of traps will be set on and you need to find it somewhere in the two story rundown cabin) •Traps&equipments- there will be six kinds Stun, Deafening, Scentless and Fracture, Blindness, and Bear traps, stun grenades causes well stuns in only 7 seconds (only on structures). Deafening block is a equipment that is made from three moss and six carpet that is used to cover the inside walls of your base which you right click to put it on blocks inside but only limits the sound up to 50. Blinding is a Flash grenade which confuses the bear for 10 seconds which is made from one gunpowder, 4 redstone and four iron ingots. Scentless is a scent spray that covers up your scent for three seconds so only use if your hinding spot is breached by your scent but only if its nearby found (only on structures) Bear traps (only on structures) its purpose is to slow them down for 3 seconds so you should mostly find them and place them down across your base. Fracture is a grenade that causes slow for 5 seconds and confuses them for 15 and stuns there senses for 10 seconds. Custom structures Ranger cabins or stations Ranger watch tower Hunter shacks(traps and equipments and also a crossbow) Hunter Cabin (exclusive) Treehouse RV( only spawns one shotgun) Facility(exclusive has a M4 rifle loot only one and fracture Grenades that only has 6-8 in one chest) And igloos. -PS Took me for half an hour please do listen or read my suggestions atleast I would appreciate that x)

Pretty neat mod. Pretty neat series. All in all, pretty neat! Have you considered making different behaviors for the different biomes? Or making different kinds of the Manbear related to the three main kinds of bears that might relate to how dangerous they are: black Manbear is best defended by fighting back and not running, brown is best defended by staying put and also not running, and the white one you might as well run because there is nothing else you can do. Just a suggestion of course; the mod looks absolutely fun and horrifying as is.

Manbear was most frightening in this video because for the first time, it felt like he was actually hunting you. In the earlier videos, he never seemed to stray away from the area you made camp in. But in this one? He actually pursued you, multiple times, outside of your camp. Even when it seemed like you went far away from your camp, there he was, right behind you.

I love how this guy made unironically the _best_ MC Horror mods And he still acts like an idiot whenever he gets the chance Usually mod makers are more "professional" about showcasing, not this guy lol
