I'm wearing bass amp headphones and when Simon used the gravity controller it made a really deep base sound and I felt it in my stomach.

Simon couldn't go up the water because he was trying to jump (go up) but his controls are not inverted when his gravity is. Also, only players seem to be affected by the gravity of the PGC (Personal Gravity Controller) or the gravity of Sandra Bullock.
