My theory is that they came from blue axolotls from battle for space underground the must have fell into the sculk and when you set of sheirker you free it and reason it attacks everything but axolotls is because they remember their friends and it attacks everything the ancient builders would attack every mobs that came their way but hey that is just a theory A GAME THEORY ( I hate matpat)

From the Warden there were villages underground made by ancient builders, and the warden was probably a iron golem to the villages underground. But, maybe when mobs from the underground found the deep dark, they overrun the village and left the warden alone. While he was living alone, he probably lost his eye sight and did not recognize anyone anymore, causing him to become a hostile mob.
