CORRECTIONS/ADDITIONS: Axes & Neos: - In the montage, the strategy written for Z-Facing Neup and Z-Facing Double Neo was jam when it should be hh (hh was done in the video), and the strategy for X-Facing Triple Neo should say 21 degrees out, not 11. - Jumps that start Z-Facing will still encounter X-Facing collision when landing from the jump, and vice versa. This essentially means that Z-Facing neos are harder to land from, but despite this they're still considered easier since you're able to turn less (which is the same point made in the video), which is a net positive in terms of difficulty. Outro: - MPK Mod now has a second iteration that has essentially replaced the first. It supports versions 1.8.9 and 1.19.4+. The description has been updated to link to this version instead, but you can access the first version by removing the "_2" from the end of the URL. - One of the servers mentioned (Omega) has since shut down, and I've also removed the IP from the description.

When I was younger I remember I binded by sprint key to R because it just felt more convenient to tap. I didn’t know till now that it was a basically a standard thing with parkour lol.
@zeltrix548 ай бұрын
Yeah a good number of people rebind sprint, though objectively, using R makes certain strategies much harder as it's harder to strafe with D when you sprint jump. Though it is less comfortable, using either shift or ctrl for sprint/sneak is optimal (and I say this as someone who also uses R).

if you make a sequel, one thing you could mention is hitboxes and common setups for mms. e.x 6bm, 3bm, 2bm, and short pane vs pane, etc. another thing would also be tiers. cupstackingkid's vid I thought was pretty good on the subject kzbin.info/www/bejne/pX_Co3-md7yliqM both of those are rather important for in-practice implementation of pk, since otherwise how is a noobie supposed to know what to do on a 2bm c4.5 or when to do ticks instead of fmm
@zeltrix542 жыл бұрын
@@MilesIsReal I'll keep this in mind! I just want to make sure that if I do make a sequel, it's cohesive enough for it to not just seem like a compilation of random stuff. This video, for example, has a coherent progression (for the most part) of how I introduce new things.

What do you recommend starting with as a beginner after mastering all of these? Also, I've seen pane ffm in the MPK gui but I don't really understand what it means, so it would really help if you explained, thanks!
@zeltrix54 Жыл бұрын
I would say that ~95% of all typical parkour only requires you to know what I've shown in the video, so I wouldn't really equate that to being a "beginner". And I think most of the other mechanics/strategies should only be learned on a "need-to-know" basis where you have to use that strategy to do the jump, otherwise you'll get diminishing returns for learning everything. If you *do* encounter a jump you don't know how to do, you can either ask in chat (if it's one of the smaller parkour servers I've listed), or the parkour discord and someone will probably help. But likely, it's just going to be a combination of a tick timing and shift taps. Pane fmm is a bit of a misleading name, since it's just when you pessi on a pane when it's attached to a block on the left/right. It's not too useful imo because you can just 3t and do most jumps.
@Nos_Yous Жыл бұрын
@@zeltrix54 Thanks for the help. This small paragraph got me very encouraged. Because seeing my KZbin recommendation filled with these very seemingly hard jump made me think I missed on a lot.
@zeltrix54 Жыл бұрын
@Nos_Yous What I assume you're watching is called "one jump" parkour. Some people enjoy doing very difficult single jumps, rather than entire parkour courses. At a higher level, one jump parkour will use strategies/mechanics that have little application elsewhere, due to those kinds of jumps very rarely being seen in typical parkour courses because of their difficulty.

Hey i just had a question. what do you use for your sprint key? I’ve been using caps lock :/ but i don’t use my pinky, i use my ring finger which doesn’t allow me to use my A key well. I’ve gotten in that habit and i just want a better key for sprint.
@zeltrix54 Жыл бұрын
Well, I use R, but it has a similar problem to what you described with caps lock. I personally don't like shift/ctrl for sprint because I commonly sneak after landing from a jump, and I don't find the pinky movement (to press sneak after sprint) particularly comfortable. The trade off of using R is that the quick movement is then relegated to when you need to strafe with D after sprinting, which I prefer. If you aren't able to make that quick movement between caps lock and A (sprint and strafe), which is commonly used for 1-2 block neos, then you may want to switch it. Otherwise, it's fine as is. Objectively, I think shift/ctrl is the best. There are some advanced strategies for certain jumps (not in the video) that require starting a sprint and a strafe on the same tick, but that kind of precision is pretty rare. And if you need to do a jump like that, you can always just temporarily change keybinds to do it.
