The reason why Nick lost is beacuse groudon was faster so drought happened then kyogre was slower so the weather changed from drought to rain It is a pokemon thing

Groudon is faster so Drought will start first, but if another weather based move or ability is used after it will cancel out the drought with its own (primordial sea) which means that solar beam still needs its chargetime and water moves can hit through the desolate land

The reason for Nick losing was because who ever gets sent out last gets there special ability, or at least that’s how it works in ORAS. Me and my friend figured that out when we battled in ORAS. Because of this rule we would switch our legends in and out and yell “NOW YOU KEAVE THE ROOM AND COME BACK!”

nick i didn't think you wouldn't know this but if the primal kyogre is slower primal sea activates but if groudon is slower desolate land activates thats why solar beam was a 2 turn move instead of 1 because kyogre was slower so it was primal sea instead of desolate land

Primal Groudons ability doesn’t auto beat primal kyogre’s. Whichever one is sent out last is the one who’s ability works. Both times kyogre was sent out last, that’s why primordial seas was in effect instead of desolate land

The reason it was raining and it wasn't sunny was because nicks Groudon was faster so sunny day got activated first but then rain actavaited because kyogres rain actavaited after the sun
