Hey Creo, long-time watcher, first-time commenter. In my experience as a hardcore player, and as someone who likes to watch other hardcore players, as long as you're consistent with the rules that you set for yourself, we'll be here for the ride. The type of community that you've fostered is one of care and support. We don't want to watch you suffer. We want to watch you have a good time with the game and to teach us things that we may not already know about it. Sometimes mistakes are funny, and re-starting if you're still early game isn't a big deal. But death-loops and losing progress on large builds can dishearten and demotivate players. So, if keeping back-ups of your world at specific checkpoints is what allows you to have fun and keep playing the game, then I think that's a fine rule. Wishing you all the best! Hello! About the hardcore factor: There is one yourutber that did a concept I loved: He plays in a world on Hardcore to see how far he can get. But then, once he dies, instead of abandoning the world, he makes a kind of statue to remember how long he went on HC there and started playing on hard survival. Edit: try to find an avocado tree! Avocado toast is definitely worth it for hunger.

The backpacks as a heads up for those having issues with upgrades: need to wear them at least 1 time, and must upgrade in order from standard (leather), iron, gold, diamond, to netherite. For travelers backpacks. Plus they have the liquids storage so that is stupid handy, along with built in crafting table. I tend to use tech reborn sapphires for tools for early game, and mine cells for early diamond stashing

i do understand those that want one life, you die it ends, because then you get that fear aspect and the caution that comes with, but personally I do enjoy watching series like this, and having the series end abruptly due to a janky death or something means I don't get to watch you as much so I'm in the consistent restart the episode camp. that way there's still some pretty harsh consequences to dying (losing potentially a couple of hours of work) while still allowing the series to continue with you learning and improving, sorta souls like. especially in a semi story based pack like prominence, I'd like to see you get through all the bosses and content :)

If you can't use commands or teleport make yourself a Warp Stone. That way you can travel a great distance and then return to your base with having to make more Way Stones. Sometimes there is an XP cost and or a cooldown timer on the Warp Stone. Early on I always made a Warp Stone as soon as I could. Now that I remember to turn on cheats/commands they're not that important anymore ... slash home or back.

This is hardcore so I can't have cheats on like I do in my normal worlds and the fabric waystones mod doesn't have a warp stone but it does have a wormhole (which I have to wait to get a nether star for) but I will check if it has anything that's easy to get earlier since I've never really used anything other than the waystones/wormhole for it. TY for the tip! Also there's no "sethome" , "home" or anything in this pack since there's no FTB essentials and I wouldn't be able to use it anyways since again...hardcore. lol

@@Creothina Ok, thanks. I've only done Forge Way Stones so I'm unfamiliar with Fabric. I know there's advantages and disadvantages with the two mod loaders but I'll stick with Forge for now. The learning curse would probably be to steep for an old fart like me. BTW - my new morning routine when your videos show up is to take a sip of coffee every time I hear a loud NOPE! I'm so over caffeinated now I can hear colors.

What I’ve seen other creators do for hardcore worlds is: if you feel like you haven’t made much progress start a new world (captainsparklez restarted deceasedcraft like 5 times before making what he determined to be sufficient progress) and once you feel like you’ve made good progress that’s the world you stick with. But again, that’s just what I’ve seen. If you want to stick with the current plan and restart after dying to a late game boss I doubt anyone here would complain.

I don't think I'll restart willingly (without dying) but I DO think that I'll restart once I get through (IF I get through) the pack the way it is now and we want to move onto the expansion since it's a big overhaul and those bosses are quite tough according to the pack creator. So I'll do Void's in hardcore and Hasturian's Era in survival since those bosses are supposed to be like Elden Ring level of difficulty. I'll do a think about it and mention it in the next episode but I def won't be restarting due to progress because there's no need for that since I control the progress. lol

Honestly talk to your family doctor because they’re able to help as well that’s how I was able to finally get help with mine since therapy is wildly expensive and hard to get into. my thoughts on the hardcore issue is that restarting from the start of the episode is a pretty sufficient death penalty, especially for a pack like this, but I'm not into super hardcore myself.

and regarding the hardcore rules you’ve set, me being more of a cozy gamer i allow myself to do things in minecraft the way i have the most fun with, even if some consider it “cheating” or being too “easy”. if you choose to alter the rules just to have some more fun and content of course you should go for it! your channel your game your rules.

I am not that a stickler with hardcore but I don't mind your current plan as yes this is your first time as hardcore and you have set the expectations early on about doing the restart. .. but a thought did pop up, maybe depending on timing & suitability, if further restart is required, then it can also be the point for the update and then it could just be a survival series again, but yeah that was just random thought and I am just newbie :P . Anyway yeah, just play what you enjoy Creo.

Why not use Tom's simple storage? Similar to RS, but everything goes in because it's a chest-based system 😏 No nbt errors or issues and no worries about chest monsters, just add more chests. And a full beacon gives dimensional wireless. Should be simple and easy to start early.

RE: Approach to Hardcore for yt content. Honestly just make a rule and stick to it. Hardcore is more about your state of mind while playing, and if you've decided that rules are made to be broken or that you'll just load a backup if you get ganked, it'll effect your attitude and viewers can probably sense that. If things go poorly but you really like the pack, take a short break and then decide your next move. tl;dr: just don't cheat yourself.
