Ok so if someone were to get a no item speed-run on RSG, they would probably have the record for the longest record

that on average would take 1x10^12 (1,000,000,000 or 1 trillion) attempts for ONLY THE PORTAL. not even taking into consideration the attempts lost to picking up items, and i guess the long part is finding the stronghold, and because its rsg you cant abuse save+quit invincibility, so you would have to spend hours breaking obsidian to climb up the towers. so dont get your hopes up, its never gonna even be attempted, ss (set seed glitches) has been done, as shown in the video, ssg is possible if you spend hours breaking obsidian to climb up to the crystals, and then killing the dragon, so ssg might be done, but rs or rsg will never be done.

Btw, at 1:53, tas stands for tool assisted superplay, and not speedrun. Also, that specific run is made using save states or smth else (forgot what it's called) and the tickrate mod. He actually played the game at around 1 tps, or 20 times slower than the normal game. Using this mod, he can basectly perfect every move. (Also the max blocks u can place per tick is 1, so 10 in a frame is Impossible without removing the block placement limit)

Correction: The TAS by Curcuit was a non-playback TAS run. Non-playback runs are done by a human with the game tickrate slowed down. The run also utilized TAStools from [TAS] Scribble. So no the run wasn't done by an emulator.

Great video, just some things I noticed: 0:51 Geosquare actually beat the game on peaceful difficulty, it's what allowed him to get knocked up by the dragon's breath (and yes the dragon still spawns in peaceful) 1:04 The end portal has a 1 in 1 trillion chance of spawning fully lit, or 1x10^12, since each frame has a 10% chance of spawning with an eye and there are 12 of them. 1:49 As far as I know, TAS is actually performed by a human, but they are playing at an incredibly slow speed (about 1 game tick per second) and they save the game whenever they need a point of RNG, then play out that part until they get the RNG they need. Also the 1.16 RSG time was just beaten - 11 minutes and 3 seconds (with no F3!) and it was beaten again today with the FIRST SUB 10 RSG! 9 minutes and 38 seconds!

correction: for the tas section, you say that the player could place 10 blocks in a single frame. on the contrary, you are only allowed to place 1 block each tick, or 20 blocks per second, which is why the portal isn't built instantly
