I am not sure if it counts but when you play on a server and it lags in a specific way you are able to fly like 10 000 blocks a second without rockets, the only problem is that once I reached like 60 or 600 thousand blocks it just straight up shut down so it's not very practical.

i saw this from another short and you can make a machine that will launch you really high to save some elytras and rockets. It works because you use spawn prot from dying to not die to the tnt. You can set the tnt up then ignite it then die. You put a bed nwae the area so tou spawn there are just drop a lot of firework and an elytra for you. Then the tnt will launch you really high and you can theoretically go even higher with the minecart trick. Not sure if this works im not an expert in minecraft its just an idea.

First, u can also laund urself with crystals to y 60 k i think and u can launch urself on height limit too then after u reach the max, start using the elytras. Also do calculations to find out how many elytras and stacks of rockets u need to finally get a record that will not be beaten for a long while hopefully
