For people having the issues of the crusher or item cables still exploding: For the cables, I plugged the hole in the floor above the wither builder, using the reinforced obsidian, plus one above the floor on each side (2 blocks above the top of the cables) and it worked like a charm without glitching withers out of the building. For the crusher and the collector, I put the crusher actually right on top of the collector and built a wall of the reinforced between the building/doorway and the machines. Everything they could possibly ruin are now protected and will run forever as long as you have the skulls and soul sand flowing in reliably!

To the people experiencing the mob crusher exploding, put the crusher outside of the farm the crusher will still kill withers.

This is a great and super easy tutorial to follow but the withers just keep blowing up my wither builder and mob crusher. Is there a way to remedy this?

I’ve found that if you move the crusher back a block and put a witherproof block in front of it (between the withers and the crusher) it should protect it.

Well, to get it to not destroy anything when the withers pop, you need to build a very high wither proof chute about 3 wide by 6 long and about 100 high. Near the top (six below the top) put one block on a 3 wide side in the middle, then the wither builder, remove the block, so you have a space between the wall and the builder. Add a entity mover or vector plate on top of the builder facing the other side (along the six long) so it moves the withers as they are forming so they start falling. They pop well below the builder and above the kill area at the bottom of the shaft. (Fyi... you will need at least 4 or 5 of the mob killers to handle the flow... or place the crusher at least 2 blocks away from the wall and add in a +2 or +5 range add on... attach the chests, pipes and collectors, and you are good to go.

ok i built the farm right but my item cables keep breaking when the wither pops, any ideas on how to fix this?

Place a witherproof block between the wither builder and the wither. Same for the mob masher. If there are any places where there are no wither proof blocks the explosion can escape and damage, even around corners.

There is a broken thing with apotheosis, you can loot an egg on a wither boss with Capturing, then you make the same set up with the obsidian reinforced cage without wither builder, you place the wither boss spawner with the egg you just loot, turn on redstone controlled spawner with a lever then reduce the spawn range to 1, at night wither boss will perma spawn within a second without explosion because they will be spawned with the spawner. Its kinda broken so maybe that is not really fun (i just did it myself and it works very well)

Hey, do you know of a way to prevent getting hit by the explosions from the wither, if you're within range? I built a 100% fully closed cage with these blocks, and I still get hit. Even if I stand behind the blast proof blocks. Only if I move about 10blocks away does it not hit me anymore. Regardless of what is in between. No block gets damaged, but I am. (although, the only damage I receive is armour durability ticks, I'm pretty tough myself)

@@OnlydravenGaming all right, I'll just stay away from the cage. I've placed orange factory block caution stripes so that shouldn't be too difficult. But it is weird if you think about it. "Blast resistent", you would expect that that would ward off explosions. But apparently it merely means that the block itself won't be broken, if it still lets the blast go through.

when withers spawn there is always a cable that breaks even though everything is covered with obsidian how do i fix this?

For SF3 I would use the mob grinder from draconic evolution for the killing and a bunch of block placers for the wither spawning. But you do need to move the wither to a separate room for the killing since it would break the block placers.

bit late to the video, but wouldn't it be easier to make the reinforced obsidian in the Tinkers smeltry? like obsidian is just pipe water and lava in, i tend to have 4 drains two in, two out, once you have malton obsidian in the smeltry add some IRON, dish bash whollop you have reinforced obsidian, ender IO has amazing intergration with Tinkers, just a hint

ik its been a year but no because obsidian farm is insanely easy you can make stacks in seconds. instead of waiting for that progress in the cauldron to finish you can just craft

hey how can i get wither skulls? im not planning on doing this but i want to do a wither for the achievement, so how can i get wither skulls quickly? i heard that u can get beheading but idk how

Wither skeletons in the nether have a chance to drop them but it’s a really rare drop chance. There is a beheading enchant that helps though I recommend making a sword using the Tinkers Construct mod. If you make it with the right materials it will have beheading.

Once you get your first wither skull, make a wither skeleton data model, upgrade it, use a simulation chamber with it, and use the pristine wither skeleton essence to make 6 wither skulls in a loot fabricator.

Try placing a blast proof block between the machines and the withers. If there’s a space not blocked by blast proof blocks the explosion can escape.

you shouldn't need too much i've found that a really good power source is a t4 cobblestone gen into an automated user right clicking cobble into a geothermal gen with 2 stacks of speed upgrades that powers my entire base and i have quite a bit of machines

A standard mob farm should work. I get a ton of android parts in mine. Also, you could build one in the nether for when you're there. Might increase the drop rate.

My pipes keep getting broken by the wither and I have reinforced blocks imbertween them, is there anyway to stop this

SyKah That usually means that there is an opening somewhere. You may need to close it in completely. The blast shouldn’t go through blast proof blocks but an opening can allow the blast to “escape” cause damage in all directions.

Christian Vig I use an item extraction cable going to a wireless transporter. That is connect via a GPS to a chest connected to my inventory.

HD Heroes The essences are part of the Mystical Agriculture mod. They are actually the most powerful and hardest to get of the essences, so this is a great way to farm them.

damn it, paused again to type.... the "item collecter" you using is great, but :mob grinding utils: has this (absorption hopper)? Qmark for spelling could be wrong, but close enough.. its small and black, in the ui/interface you can have items/xp going out of any side, my main point for commenting is the XP, with the set up ive seen (paused @6:28) you dont collect xp, and i know for sure, that the mod you using to kill the wither has machines that use it, and it's always good to soulbound everything important in these kinda packs, which use's hella orbs, you most likely know already since its 3 years ago.....

I don't know about quick fix but once there done you can maybe set the item extracters to red Stone and just put a switch far away.

@@RedPyro404 there's a problem with that, it's a 64x64 chest filled with skulls and sand, and there are so many withers spawning and dying that it my game runs at around 5 fps, or the game just crashes

Unless you plan on spawning a few hundred withers you can just go to the nether and excavate a bunch. Or you can get into mystical agriculture and make nether essence. Shouldnt be too hard because it is only a tier 2 seed and 8 essences make 16 soul sand.

same. It was working fine for the first 15 or so WIthers, but now it immediately destroys the mob crusher and energy cables leading to it. I can't figure out why, because nothing changed.
