aaron In the UK we pretty much only have radiators installed in our houses, so with no air conditioning we might as well just be lying outside. Inside is the same temperature as outside, and we're in the middle of a heat-wave. We aren't used to it :/ Luckily it's dying down a bit now, but it's still really hot

I feel your pain! Though I now live in Southern California, where EVERYTHING is air conditioned, I grew up in Northwest Oregon (which is a lot further north in the country) and we would have similar situations in the summer, where it would occasionally hit the mid-to-high 90's with super high humidity and nowhere was air conditioned. So hot and sticky and miserable!!! Hopefully it'll let up soon for you and get back to a reasonable temperature. :)

i just tested it in single player, spiders can climb up gravel - but they can't climb up a gap - like a stair and an upside-down stair on top of it. it's tricky to set up, but not one of the 30 spiders i spawned were able to climb up it - i did switch myself to survival and aggroed them just to be sure - they all got stuck in the gap. you could use a top slab over the bottom stair instead it will still leave the gap and give you a place to kill them

Vik, the piston will not power if the redstone just runs beside it. You need to directly power the piston by pointing the redstone line at it or just placing the redstone on top of a block that is adjacent to the piston.

Vikk, what you should do with the black wool. Since it's a big pay out. You should have a dropper that gives a 50/50 chance of either bankrupt it the 1:23. So it's not a huge amount for you to pay! Just an idea. Hope it made sense! So once they land on black they don't win until they get lucky with the dropper!

Everyone is saying "oh we have this heat all the time". And thats the point, here in the UK, we get like 3 days of anything above 30 degrees, and we arent used to it when it comes (its not really ever a gradual build up it basically heats up over night) so we feel the effect a lot more compared to if you live with the heat every day ~
