i think that the runner has the advantage. The hunter has to go to the runner and cant rely as much on traps and tricks. The runner knows that the hunter has to come for them and its easier to plan and set up traps

@@trevorlarsonn i mean yeah, at some point you’re right. although they’ve said that some uploaded manhunts weren’t the first try and they obviously wouldn’t post one where the speedrunner is killed shortly after starting the run (they had to keep potentially good runs because of this). some of those could’ve been good endings too, but you can tell george actually escaped dream in most cases and it wasn’t just for the content (not to mention dream doesn’t actually know how low george is).

Tbh these "clutches" aren't that hard in both ways. It took Dream alot of time to get where he is today. Back in 2020 he used to die in 1v1 combat against George. Anybody can be as good as Dream, just do what he even says he does. Watch tiktok, reddit, practise against the dragon (back in the early days Dream couldn't beat the ender dragon).

how is no one talking about 27:31?? George barely dodged the arrow, a pigman took a bullet for him, and he got teleported right as it was about to hit him all within a few seconds. That might be one of the luckiest sequences iv seen in any manhunt. The majority of dreams clutches involve mostly skill, but george was just running unaware of how close he was to death THREE TIMES.

I know some people think these are cringe or bad. I've never been a big dream team fan but these videos make me feel so good. They remind me of pre covid when dream wasn't very popular yet. These are some of the only videos my older brother watches with me and it's nice to get to do something with him. Manhunt got him back into Minecraft so we've been playing together

I like how George literally has one of the best tools for seeing through lies and tricks and he literally just... doesn't use it after he kills dream at the stronghold. He could have seen if Dream had a spare chest at spawn, how far he was from the stronghold, literally anything that could be useful while he was looking for the portal, and he just didn't.

I was not expecting that ending, that was so clever of Dream! But he was also very lucky too, I think now that George knows to check the map more often, it'll be harder to trick him George did really well too, the slab trap and last-second clutches in the nether were certainly Dream-worthy, I really enjoyed this Manhunt!

When he killed Dream in the stronghold, I was screaming "GEORGE CHECK THE FREAKING MAP!!!!!" because I was getting flashbacks from the other manhunt where Dream died in the stronghold and lied that he was back at spawn when he was near George the whole time and then killed him. But anyway, George did so well! Even better than I expected. I hope he does more of these videos as the speedrunner being hunted by Dream. It's always exciting to watch!

He counts how many hits he gets in and which ones are crits, and he knows roughly how much damage they do in most situations, so just some simple math and taking into account regeneration he can have a rough idea of how much health his opponent has. After all in a pvp scenario you need to know how much health your opponent has compared to you so know whether engaging is actually a good idea or not.

It's interesting seeing how much Dream struggled here. He still played insanely well, but George outsmarted him multiple times, and often Dream either couldn't overcome George's advantage with the map, or simply by having to hunt instead of run his task became so much harder. Of course, once he started really using his brain instead and set up the fake bed, George went down quick.

This was very entertaining since with the hunter and speedrunner roles switched, we get to see the strengths and weaknesses of both George and Dream in each role. Dream, despite how often he succeeds in killing the hunters in his manhunts, isn't actually all that well suited to being a hunter himself. He is very skilled at PvP and movement, but his greatest strength is his unpredictability and his ability to improvise and think on his feet. As the speedrunner, Dream is in control of the game and is able to set traps which the hunters have no choice but to follow him into. While he is still able to set up contingencies like the bed, as a hunter he has to follow the speedrunner and let them set the terms of engagement, which restricts that ability. There is also something to be said for how well Dream plays under the pressure of only having one life. How many times have we seen him get down to half a heart and survive somehow? As a hunter, Dream doesn't have that extra edge of danger, which I suspect makes him more prone to making mistakes. His priority is less survival and more killing the speedrunner, so he fights more offensively, which can sometimes lead to his bluffs getting called and him getting caught and killed himself. George, however, also excels under the pressure of being the speedrunner, but in a different way. As a hunter, I think it's safe to say that while George is skilled, he doesn't measure up to Dream or Sapnap in terms of PvP. Instead, George generally gets along through his knowledge of Dream's patterns and how he thinks, along with a healthy amount of self-preservation (not that it always saves him, but whatever). George knows this. Dream is faster than him, a better fighter, and can overall adapt to situations that George can't, so George out-plans him. As the speedrunner, George can control the footing of the fights they are in, and he takes every advantage he can get. He sets traps. He gears up. He makes plans and strategies to wear Dream down until George can fight him. He can't do this in a regular manhunt, because his only choice in any fight is to attack Dream. But in this situation? George has the freedom to be as crafty as he'd like. And boy does he take advantage of it. TLDR: Both Dream and George are better at the speedrunner role because it gives them the opportunity to think and make traps.
