My favorite thing to do for a DND backstory. You were a farmer. Your parents were killed by bandits. Adventure.
@vidman9319 жыл бұрын
You guessed my backstory perfectly.How?
@TheZedman50009 жыл бұрын
Meanwhile I was a Dragonborn who was next in line to a Lordship before his claim was attacked by a Red Dragon, during which his father lost his leg (a rather serious injury) and his younger brother was killed. He was forced to set out as a Paladin, like his father before him, wielding his family's shield and his father's ornate longsword, to gain the might and men to take back his birthright, accompanied by his squire. I guess that backstory just depends on your DM and how much they force you to write; if I'd given him that backstory he'd have killed off my character and told me to make a new one with a proper backstory. I guess it also has to do with the willingness of a player to actually write a bloody thing.

People in the comments are complaining about Minecraft and adventure maps. This is their roots, what they started as and how they got here. Many of us people who aren't wishing for them to play COD or GTA V really appreciate what are doing here. I understand there are a lot of new fans who only want new recent games because that's what they play, and they can relate to it. But on the other hand, the old fans, really, really appreciate it they are going back to their roots and giving us what we loved from the beginning.

What a pleasant surprise! I'd like to thank Lewis and Simon for playing my map. I took the framework included in the manual (just a map and one page really) and put my own spin on it. I've been a DM for over a decade, so please forgive my long winded exposition.

I'm glad you guys have been playing so many adventure maps lately. Other than maybe Lucky Block Challenge with Simon, the other active Minecraft series just aren't holding my interest, I'm sorry to say. But these are always something different.
@Vedvart19 жыл бұрын
Personally I think that the adventure maps can be dull and straightforward, whereas the series allow variation. I must admit the new series haven't been very good, but Druidz is decent and I've always found that Hatfilms and the main channel have the best series.

The Dwarves abandoned the fortress because they all went insane leading into a tantrum spiral. Why did they go insane? Because of chairs. It wasn't the goblin raiders, it wasn't the "lava incident of 149", nor was it the Mega Beast that killed many and left nearly everyone else too injured to fight, it wasnt even the stinking corpses of their friends and family that lie everywhere. no is was Urist, one of the ten remaining dwarves who could still work. Urist, who went mad because his chair wasn't encrusted in DIAMONDS! AND THEN HE KILLED EVERYONE AND JUMPED INTO A LAVA PIT! the love/hate relationship that is Dwarf Fortress.

Bugbears are commonly found as leaders of goblin sqaudrons in D&D, and are even a playable race, these guys are really big and weirdly, their favorite class is rougue! They are big, hairy human-like creatures with bear and goblin like features. Their preferred weapon is a mace. Though I would drop some fantasy and D&D knowledge on ya :D

This is actually a really good map, all things considered.
