If they wanted to redo this one and actually try to BEAT the DRAGON then the strategy would be to get feather falling on boots & make slow fall potions. But could you imagine getting elytra with being able to jump that high? You could fly SO far without using a single firework! You could really explore the world quickly & safely that way.

But first you have to find a nether fortress to find netherwart and a blaze rod to brew a potion and then you have to wait a long time to find a phantom. And 1 potion works 3 min. Except you use redstone, then it works for 8 minutes.
