The fact that they are making the movie before Minecraft was a thing is amazing. This could mean so many things, since Minecraft today was supposed to be after human living creatures (Like the villagers). We know that in the game a lot of things like structures, buildings, and species were lost to time in the game (Almost like the dino era in the real world and then today). This would introduce so many monsters, creatures and places. I can't wait to know what the movies turns out to be. Most people don't understand the actually potential of pre-minecraft. I personally think this will be the biggest hit. Like how fnaf walked for other game adaptation can run.

The origin story is, in my opinion, ancient builders built all those structures, some died in the nether, some died under water, some died in the desert or other biomes. The experimented in the Amcient City with the portal, but then the Warden came through, causing them to shut it down and flee to the Strongholds. They then went to the end with clams and bugs, which adapted to become Shulkers and Endermites. The rest of the ancient builders died in the end and became Endermen.

There’s a book series that has a main character called “Gameknight999”, and it’s basically like some kid that’s a griefer gets turned into a character within Minecraft. He has to survive without dying in fear that if he dies in the game, he dies in real life. The plot sounds similar. I’m not sure I’m going to like this movie but we’ll see.

Live action would be AWESOME. There should include a person character that has a lot of experience and has a well developed base with stone and basalt generators, have a large minecart smelter with EXP output. This character should also have store that sells items. This character is to show what you can do to create item and automate tasks. It is a lot to cram into a movie so that might have to come in a sequel. They should have had me develop the plot over view.

Live action was always the route to go. There's already lots of really good Minecraft animations made by studios such as Element Animation and Black Plasma Studios (now called Squared Media) and an animated Minecraft movie would just be like one of those but in 4K. Live action, however, would be an incredible feat, and already could be feasible given the amount of realism Minecraft already has (please don't argue saying "oh Minecraft isn't realistic" I meant the fact that most of the blocks and items are actual things in reality).

Ya sure It would look cool animated, but it deserves a chance. It directed by the same person who did Nacho Libre and Napoleon Dynamite. It looks like it's gonna be good, and they paid attention to a lot of small details from the game. If you look close you can see all the hard work they put into it.

i really hope that the way they do the story is personal in a way and intriguing than just another cash grab. i know that they seem to be taking this seriously with all the crazy practical props, sets, and effects. but it all comes down to the story, i just really hope that the story and characters will actually be able to MOVE people at the least. Like imagine hearing or seeing a KZbin video titled "The Minecraft Movie is a Heartfelt Masterpiece" and its a video essay about how good and deep the story was even with all the goofiness that it will most likely have, that would just be amazing to see. I really just want it to be good and i hope they can pull this off.

I find it strange that this hostile mob will chase the characters for the whole movie, and will apparently do the same in-game. In the leaked Mojang book, one of the rules of MC is that all danger has to be avoidable and only happens as a result of the player's actions. This mob doesn't sound like that, and if it's Herobrine, he's certainly not like that. Maybe it won't attack?

I've also heard there's gonna be some "questionable" scenes in the movie, and by questionable I mean well....... "questionable." Which has deterred me even more so from watching the movie. Also the game doesn't necessarily have a plot. Unless you read the full end game credits and count beating the Ender Dragon. Honestly it feel like video game adapted to movies/shows is dying. The ONLY good video game adapted to movie so far has been the Fallout 4 movie series. I was excited at first to watch the Halo show. But once the Chief kept taking off his helmet.... I just stopped.

I'm so worried if and when this actually releases. Like the Sonic movie (before they fixed the bad character design). I don't want it to be Dragonball: Evolution levels of cringe to the point where it humiliates anyone that is a fan. And then destroys any chances to attract new fans. My first reason to be nervous is Jack Black is involved. I really don't know about a comedy is the right approach. The Minecraftia universe is pretty dark and there's too many lore to just ignore. It just sounds like a really long ad for the game with some "easter eggs" thrown in for the "fans", which sounds shallow pandering. Unless they are planning to make a franchise out of this and they start out light and silly, but get more serious later on.
