I never really appreciated just how much effort it takes people to make time lapses until I tried to make my own. Honestly, if someone makes a time lapse, (especially one THIS big) even if it is a bad video, I will still respect and give their video a like purely because of how long it takes to make a video such as this one. Their video footage looked to be sped up 15-20x, so that means that this 6 minute video took over 2 hours of footage; that's determination.

I copied this WHOLE sand city into the server that I was playing almost 10 years ago. I had to hop into single-player and go back to the server just to copy it. That server ended and I quit playing Minecraft. I wish I could download this world again so I can get that nostalgic feeling.

The architecture of specifically the mosques came from Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. The Hagi Sophia was originally an Eastern Orthodox Church (christian). Now most mosques have a uniform design based ON Hagia Sophia, so it's more so Greek christian architecture...the minarets, the wide domes...all this from Greek christians.

I also built an arabian like city called Madinat Mackinac, it is based off of Istanbul, but mine looks very simple compared to yours. You got every single detail down to a T. It is very beautiful.
