Should do random flaoting netherrack blocks that are lit with flint and steel above the opening of the volcano to simulate it spewing out flaming rocks and do random lit nether rack around the base... and if you do happen to do another "lava leakage" you should have it run into the river beside it to produce obsidian to simulate the lava burning out from the water....

Volcanoes actually have really fertile land. So to put your farm right next to a volcano is a really good idea guys. Your crops will grow way faster and will be much healthier. Nice planning, good job

You can make a pillar at the top of the volcano, and cover it with lava, so that it looks like it gets shot out of the top, but it looked really nice anyway so...yeah, just a suggestion :)
