Me and and my brother used to play this game all the time after school. After he graduated and moved i never touched the game again as i couldn't play alone. Eventually while cleaning the attic, i found his old xbox 360. I booted up minecraft and hopped onto the world simply titled "me and bro" the last thing we ever did was fight the ender dragon one last time before he left. Our house was built ontop a snowy mountain viewing a village rebuilt with massive houses. Just as the sun came down this song started playing. There was one sign left that just said "thanks for the help and memories little bro, love ya" i have never cried harder over a video game ever. 2 years later my toddler brother got old enough to hold the remote and play. We continued on the world and i couldnt help but think "Im carrying on a torch left behind". I cant wait till you return home from college again so you can see what i have done. Love ya adam

As a wise man onces said: We played, we tried We laughed, we cried We succeeded, we died We respawned and thrived From the zombies, to the endermen From the skeletons, to the pigmen From the spiders and creepers And from those annoying griefers From the biomes of jungles to sands To the mushrooms and other obscure lands From the snow and ice To the swamps which never looked too nice From moments with friends we’ll cherish From a time we hoped Herobrine would perish From the great animations To the KZbin sensations Along with those musical incantations I thank Mojang for creating my childhood Much better than just ‘good’ I think I speak for everyone here When I say this is not game of the year It’s the game of the century As it offered us with plenty And these memories will never leave Just like the thought of first playing as Steve So I say close your eyes And listen to the music with surprise As your memories of Minecraft were once apart But now can be fixed like a broken heart In order to find your memories core You must go back to the world of Minecraft once more And defeat the Ender Dragon one last time As the sweet sounds of your childhood begin to chime One last thing, for me to say Which would be, have a nice day Also for you to never forget this game Nor the journey that came As a part of that journey was the end Quite literally, not pretend Just like this poem, which I hope you have all read As I would love it if this poem and this game is remembered once I’m dead.

no one will probably read this, but its okay, i just need somewhere to write this out. For some reason this song stuck with me all these years, and it always makes me cry. I grew up the youngest and only sister of two other brothers, both of which i grew up being super close to, my second oldest especially. He and I made a minecraft world together, and he was the first person to teach me how to play. I never thought a game about blocks could mean so damn much to me. Alex and i made and played this world 24/7, and we built our very first house, still burned in my memory. This was on our xbox 360 and i can still remember vividly what we built and how the world looked, every small detail still clear as ever. As we grew older, we slowly grew apart, slowly played less, and slowly started forgetting the memories. Though we maintained a good relationship, we stopped talking as much as we used to, and my parents gave away our 360 since it had become unused. I will never see that world again, and i was too young to write down the seed, but the memories this song brings to me will never be forgotten. I didnt think a game about blocks could make me cry this hard. When i was little all i wanted was to grow up, but now, i just want to be 8 years old again, playing my minecraft world with my brother, and just building whatever comes to mind. This is still his favorite game. I wonder if he thinks about the memories like i do too.

Just think... Your save files are waiting out there, frozen in time... The adventures, experiences and oh the grinds.. Building your house's, the beginning is always a fight The fear of dying, without a sword to use in the night.. These worlds are now a memory, something we've left behind... But we can rest easy, sit down and unwind.. Because in the end we've come so far, the peaceful tranquility set the bar.. The world was a place of zen, yet so fragile like a dove But we must leave it behind forever as a place we know and love. ✌🏼This music got me attempting damn poetry Hahha

"I feel like Skyblock at its core is the ultimate challenge in resource management. You spawn on a tiny island in an empty universe. All you have is a tree, some supplies and some dirt to stand on. You have to treasure every dirt block, because if one falls into the void there is no way to replace it. As you carefully navigate your absurd circumstance, you gain a new appreciation for few things you have as you meticulously use them to their fullest effect . With nothing, but some ice, lava and saplings you slowly start to terraform this empty expanse into a world of your very own. Skyblock teaches us that no matter how ridiculous odds may seem to be, within us resides power to overcome these challenges and achieve something beautiful. It’s 2020. I just graduated junior year. My entire second semester is canceled due to the corona virus quarantine. Day by day I sit in my home getting older, losing perception of time. Just yesterday I was 10 years old playing Minecraft on my ps3, and everything was perfect. Now, at 4 am on a Thursday morning I’m listening to this music, wondering when I will place my last block, mine my last diamond, trade my last emerald, eat my last apple, enchant my last sword, throw my last ender pearl, open my last chest, and craft my last tool. This game is legendary. It shouldn’t ever be forgotten, stolen, or recreated a new. It is more than perfect, it is beautiful.

Mice obviously couldn't survive on Venus. So the feeling of mourning and sorrow that fill this track's first part and continue through it makes sense. As the song shifts into the second part, this sorrow fades into something much more hopeful and inspiring, but still bittersweet - the mice may have passed, but they've gone into heaven. The third part almost feels like... acceptance. Still somewhat sad, but after loss, we all have to move on with our lives at some point. It's thoughtful and contemplative, like the player is trying to decide what to do next as they build a grave for the mice.

I think SkyBlock at its core is the ultimate challenge in resource management. You spawn on a tiny island in an empty universe; all you have is a tree, some supplies, and some dirt to stand on. You have to treasure EVERY dirt block because if one falls into the void, there's no way to replace it. And as you carefully navigate your absurd circumstance, you gain a new appreciation for the few things you have as you meticulously use them to their fullest effect. With nothing but some ice, lava, and saplings, you slowly transform this empty expanse into a world of your very own. SkyBlock teaches us that no matter how ridiculous the odds may seem, within us resides the power to overcome these challenges and acheive something beautiful. And one day, we'll look back at where we started and be amazed by how far we've come." ―Technoblade 2019

Man this brings me back... I remember constantly asking and begging my dad to buy Minecraft for me around 2012. Before buying Minecraft I always played the demo version, but when I got the full version, I remember breaking dirt and to my suprise it actually dropped, felt so happy for some reason cause I finally got the game. I remember distinctly loading in my first world. It was near a river leading out to sea and there were sandstone arches and mountains that connected at the top to form a massive grotto. Carved my house into one of the walls lol. I remember being so proud of this little greenhouse that I made, felt like it was the biggest achievement ever. I found out about Minecraft through a few friends who don't really speak with me anymore. But back then, they were all that I had. I used to come home from a school that I hated to play a game that I adored with some friends that meant the world to me. Remember playing on this really humble server, it was a community of about 50-60 players and it was default survival. Everyone got along though, we built communities and towns and I remember creating this market on a frozen lake that was extremely popular haha. Cherish these moments guys, you'll never get them back. Don't be sad cause it's over, smile cause it happened". Peace ✌️ P.s Will and Caleb if you read this, thankyou for defining my childhood and making school feel less shit hope you're doing well 🤙🤙

@Tooaster3 жыл бұрын
2:07-2:19 This little squence of notes, followed by a dissonant chord, and then finally resolving is probably the most nostalgic part of the song for me. It encompases the feel of nostalgia. The buildup to the chord is when you are "making" the nostalgic memories (ex. playing minecraft with your friends in 2014). The dissonant part is the bitter part of nostalgia, wanting to go back and relive it. And finally the resolution is the happiness you get from nostalgia. Remembering all of the fun times you had while playing this amazing game. Thanks for reading!

I remember old Minecraft times with me and my brother We would fight over who got to play Minecraft on Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons and play for like and hour I remember when poppies were called roses and they looked different from now I remember when I got upset and furious at why i couldn’t leave the tutorial part of Minecraft because I was too dumb to build a house and the little “crafting table; you’ll be able to multitask!” Would come up and I’d try to mine the dirt and eat apples at the same time I remember messing with the logo “Minecraft” and would put chickens and sheep in it I remember living in the sideways sandstone house thing and ‘upgrading’ the church and placing random beacons everywhere I remember not knowing what the inventory was I remember telling my brother to spawn more squid so he could feed the guardians and screaming at him to STOP SPAWNING GHASTS IN THE OVER-WORLD! I remember making a snow golems for the first time and thought it was a mod from what my friend Trent told me I remember my brother spawning so many ghasts that he ‘unlocked’ the spooky texture pack and I’d make a little house for the dancing flowers and getting stuck in the giant piano at the mansion at the top of the spiral hill thing I remember ‘upgrading’ the sand village so much that i unlocked the Greek mythology texture pack and going through the labyrinth and burning the Trojan horse and living in Atlantis I remember going into the festive texture pack and spawning endermite-puddings and gummy-silverfish and riding the ‘train’ all around the world and making a giant pumpkin I remember discovering for the first time that you could were a pumpkin on your head I remember taking the secret pathway trough the giant Christmas tree I remember one kid make a teen titans tower in Minecraft I remember going trough a jungle temple for the first time I remember going through a sand temple for the first time I remember taking out all the stuff in a blacksmiths’ house and living in it on a super flat world I remember when Minecraft worlds weren’t infinite I remember the Skyrim texture pack I remember the mars looking texture pack and spawning wolves was the creepiest thing I remember the food texture pack and the soda water and egg-glow-stone blocks I remember using enderpearls and glow stone to clip through the ground for the first time I remember making my house in an underground cave and trying furiously to save my diary I remember the time in survival I’d go into settings and make it to basically creative I remember dying if you (somehow) broke the bedrock and fell out of the world and died, even in creative I remember hating on the slimes in the super-flat worlds I remember my brother flying on the edge of the world at night and then our PS3 crashed, and not being able to play Minecraft until recently (2018) I remember so much and I can’t fit all of this into here, there’s too much nostalgia And now I’m typing this comment through a blur of tears I don’t like the new Minecraft I hate it I can’t go back Not anymore, I won’t remember it like the old days I wish I could go back I can’t And I know you probably wouldn’t feel as missed as I do, and that’s ok, because you’d have read all of this faster than my slow typing and overwhelmed nostalgia I wish I could go back I want the old Minecraft back

This takes me back to an era before I understood the severity of the world's issues. When I was fascinated with old generation Minecraft KZbinrs, and my best attempts at houses still looked like wooden blocks with fence gates for windows. Back when I was still a kid, and Minecraft was a world unparalleled in the creative freedom it gave me. It brings back some of my earliest memories of the game, and how I would have absolute hoards of dogs trailing behind me as I explored every nook and cranny I could find. Minecraft is nostalgic in all the best ways possible, and its soundtrack is a testament to that.

The sun sets behind the blocky horizon, casting long shadows over the pixelated landscape. You stand on a hill, overlooking the world you've built, where every block and every creation tells a story. The familiar strains of Mice on Venus begin to play, bringing a sense of calm and reflection. As the soft piano notes fill the air, memories of countless adventures come rushing back. The first time you punched a tree, the excitement of finding your first diamonds, the thrill of defeating the Ender Dragon. Every mining expedition, every fortress built, every sheep dyed a silly color - they all blend together in a tapestry of nostalgia. In the distance, you see the quaint little house you first called home. It's small and simple, but it's where it all began. The wheat fields sway gently in the breeze, and the torches you placed long ago flicker warmly in the twilight. You remember the friends who joined your world, the laughs you shared, the challenges you faced together. "Mice on Venus" plays on, a perfect accompaniment to this moment of peaceful reflection. It's a reminder of why you fell in love with this game in the first place - the creativity, the freedom, the endless possibilities. Whether you're building towering castles, exploring vast caverns, or just watching the sunset from your favorite spot, Minecraft has always been a place where your imagination can soar. So take a deep breath, let the music wash over you, and remember the magic of your blocky adventures. No matter how many years pass, this world will always be here, waiting for you to return and create new memories. Happy crafting, and may your adventures continue to be as endless as the Minecraft world itself.

I guess all of us were wondering in an unfamiliar world.. Where everything was green. Where the world was in our hands. Where our mission is to survive. Where we could choose our own fate. Where we could mine into the abyss. Where we could craft our own world. We were all like Mice on Venus.. ... *We since were.*

I'm glad to say I was one of the old Minecraft players. I always liked hearing this song while watching the Minecraft sunset in front of my oak wood house.
