Ok so stamps mentioned how there are pirate ships rides a theme/amusement parks and it reminded me of the first (and hopefully last) time I rode one at Carowinds. The ride is called Southern Star(pretty sure you people who live in the carolinas know that) and, it squeezes you like crap. I'm not joking, it was so tight, I actually put my hand between my chest and the restraint. I don't remember if it had a lap bar, but I did have my feet wrapped around a small post. And according to my dad, when he rode it before, when ever you went upside down, you saw water, now all you see is ground and machinery. And he says they have done something to that ride, and he convinced me to get on Afterburn, which I was scared jack to death to get on. So to all of you thinking of riding southern star just remember, it squeezes you like crap, and it's not very exciting upside down. Now I will say southern star is the only pirate ship ride I've been on, so let me know if other pirate ship rides are like it
