Look up a tutorial on how to find your coordinates and the middle number in your coordinates is your “deepness” level. If that number is 16 or less, you can find diamonds. The number in the middle of your screen at the bottom is a different kind of level, which you raise from doing things like killing most things and mining certain ores and whatnot, not by going up higher in the world. Also, your enchantment level, the one at the bottom of your screen, doesn’t go down unless you die or do other things like enchanting.
