I mean i'm pretty sure the NULL boss fight doesn't actually happen IN THE UNIVERSE, if you know what i mean Like with how NULL is always talking only to the player and only about the game in general as an actual game, or how NULL is alleged by Mystman to be a mysterious thing that appeared in the game out of nowhere when it wasn't even intended to exist, so it's not like in-universe the student is messing around and stumbling upon NULL, THE PLAYER THEMSELVES are the ones messing around and stumbling upon NULL, and the fight is between him and YOU, not him and the student In other words:No this didn't start from your friend having eating practice, as fun as that would be to imagine. 1. Decompiles of classic exist. If you don't know what those are they are used to make new rooms, new items, new characters, you get the idea 2. There is a decompile called "nearly accurate BBCR decompile" or something like that.
