Minelab ETRAC | KILLER DEPTH & TIGHT PATTERNS | In-Depth Settings & Applications

A quick run down of the ETRAC and what works for me after extensive trial and error in the field. Enjoy and please like and subscribe for more videos this year 👍 HH and thanks.
REVISED 2020: Noise Cancel at "11" were the results for the 6x8 SEF coil ONLY! After further in-depth testing with the Noise Cancel feature, it was found that Noise Cancel at "1" provided larger coils with extended depth on small silver coins as it retained the lower detection frequencies.
***Check with my updated Minelab ETRAC videos as I further push the testing of this metal detector.

I watched and programmed my E-trac as you described. Well, I hardly use my E-trac, and when I broke the ears off my Nox 800 coil, I started use the E-trac. Well, I have to tell you, your patter has opened my eyes. I'm finding deeper silver coins where I was using my Nox 800, and, shallow silver coins too. I love my Nox, BUT, I do believe, the E-trac is a better machine for finding silver coins. Thank you for this video. Now that I got a new coil from Minelab for my NOX, I find, I want to keep using my E-trac. I will go back to the Nox when I go to the beach, but for now, the E-trac is the bomb for dirt/grass.

Love the indepth explanation but can you give the number lines of the patterns you use please so we can copy them as it is now all we see is a mass of black and tight white boxes Thankyou for a Brilliant Video been watching these for years and recently bought another Etrac

They're running these out in Australia at a few shops for like $550 usd, so I grabbed one. I've already found silver in a few spots that have been flogged out with Nox's etc, so I'm super excited to see how it goes over the summer. This vid was helpful as, cheers man 😎

How's the e-trac going still? Getting back into detecting, bought a nox 800 when they first came out but sold soon after due to an injury. Looking at an e-trac now to get back swinging again.

Not bad of a deal. $499 from Miner's Den - 2017 built, comes with a rechargeable battery, a AA battery module and they're throwing in another AA module they had lying around. Agree with the tones, coming from the X-Terra 705 to the Equinox 800 some years ago, I hated the tones on the 800. Is there anyway I can hit you up for some settings hints and tips etc?

I'm hoping you post again ... this is good info for anyone trying to get a better understanding of the Etrac. I have the NEL Thunder coil for my AT-Gold and Tesoro Vaquero. Works amazing for these two machines. If you picked up one for the Etrac please post a video with your experiences as well. Thanks and HH

I run in quick mask ,very little disc,and run the sensitivity high as the condition will allow. you'll find way more nickles and stuff that way.

Very useful vid, thanks. I haven't had the Etrac long and so far prefer 4TF but I'm very interested in what you say about Noise Cancel and Manual Sensitivity - will definitely have to give them more attention now as I've been using 2 and Auto +3.

Great tutorial! I run mine pretty much the same as you. I haven't braved the multi conductive yet though lol. I use 4TC with manual 22. Tadpole pattern.

Hey RelicMedic, yes the tones do wear on you a bit in multi, but with a tighter discrimination pattern, it def reduces all the tones than if one is using a more open pattern. Thanks for commenting!

Do you know if the etrac modes are available for download. I can't find them anywhere on the internet . The only one I found was the Andy Sabisch coin setting.

As far as I remember, no. I do have some logged programs that have proven very successful in the field, but they have to be entered manually and set up. Many use my programs, especially known for recovering silver coins. If interested, email: [e-mail] for the info.

I run Bill’s trashy park program. Along with The sunray x-5 coil. Those two are killers in trashy area’s. Goesonforever 2 tone ferrous is all another good program.

The Ultimate for the ETRAC is/was not waterproof buddy...could not be submerged or washed well in water.
