Righto. Now do a comparison on a deep nugget using a GPX 5000 with a 12" Nugget Finder Evo to make things fair.

Would be great to see the same size coil on the 5000, any chance of a fare comparison in future, I would be really interested.

I tried my 45 today against a 6000 on a dot sized piece of gold and even with the nugget finder 17 in eliptical coil I could still hear the target.

I've found target's that size at deeper depth with my 45 think you need to look at your settings my 45 would have screamed at that with the standard 11inch

Yea, learning to use the settings is key. You can have the best machine and the best coil, but that won't beat someone who can in a split second adjust the right setting for maximum performance. It's like building a computer, once it's built and running it's great and running as advertised, but if you now about overclocking both the CPU and the GPU, you can get like 20% to 30% better performance over strait out of the box. Also i use a GPX 5000 and i have dug to China over a tiny bit of lead shot like that so that Sadie Coil must be broke lol. Look i love this channel and watch all the live streams and what not, but it's clear this is more of a add to push sales for the GPX 6000 whilst making the GPX 5000 seem outdated, which is cool because it's literally his business to sell and promote detectors 😁 P.S you watch, a year from now i will be like "The GPX 6000 is way better than the GPX 5000!" 🤣

Why compare it to a 5000 with a sadie? Why not Minelab 11” in both…kinda defeats the purpose of a comparison 😂
@MinersDenAustralia
@MinersDenAustralia 2 жыл бұрын
The Sadie coil gives a significant performance boost to tiny targets compared to an 11" on the 5000- making it a far more fair comparison. The 11" coil in this instance likely would not have heard that target either.

I'd like to see both machines set up to find an ounce nugget as deep as it can. Have both machines have the same size coil. Slide the nugget into the tube that goes under ground and let's hear and see how deep they will pick up the signal. I'm on the fence about which to purchase. I live in Montana and own a Fisher Gold Bug 2 and everything is hot around me. I don't want to dig for highly mineralized dirt anymore. Please show me the depth comparison between the GPX 5000 & GPX 6000.

Is that sadie a mono or a dd. A mono would have screamed on the 5 if it was set right.
@MinersDenAustralia
@MinersDenAustralia 2 жыл бұрын
the sadie is a mono coil. There are a load of things which influence any machines ability to hear targets. I once found a 2grm nugget that was only 2" deep and gave only the slightest murmur on the 7000- when dug out, it produced a much louder response due to the orientation of the piece changing. Interestingly, that same piece would not respond even when rubbed on the coil of an sdc2300 and Gpx5000. Not all targets will respond to all machines, no matter how they are set up!

It would be interesting to know the gpx5000 settings, if its in fine gold it's running so quiet you could flick across to sens extra. It's annoying when one set of settings is meant to represent the entire detectors capabilities.

@@MinersDenAustralia as stated fantastic machine. As a comparison a 11 inch elite or 12 evo would be better suited as per the 11 inch on the 6k.

So much not right in this comparison. No settings shown in either machine. the target is out of the ground with the 5000. Then you couldn't locate the target. Next it's in the ground again and you locate with the 6000 and dig and scrape again? I watched it again. In the beginning it appears the 5000 with the tiny coil didn't go over the target. I carefully observed the leaves and sticks to where it is heard with the 6000. He needs to move slightly more forward to be over it compared to where you heard it with the 6000. Easy to miss with tiny coil and cone shape detect pattern penetrating the ground. Need to be accurately over it with slow swings. The smaller the coil the slower you need to swing. I pick up shotgun pellets in the ground with a 4500 and 18" mono /shrug

its unfair to compare an 11inch coil to a 6x 8 inch coil. Put a 12 inch Nugget Finder evo coil on and try again for a fair comparison.

on a 5000, that 8x6 coil will give a much sharper response to tiny targets like this compared to a 12" evo. This should be a more than fair comparison.... well not really, to be really fair you can't compare the 5000 to the 6000 when it comes to small targets, the 6000 is in a class of it's own.

@MinersDenAustralia
@MinersDenAustralia 2 жыл бұрын
the Gpx5000, Sdc2300 and Gpz7000 have no discrimination ability either- no Pulse Induction / gold prospecting machines really do. This is due to the physics behind how detectors work- every piece of gold gives a different signal thereby making it impossible to accurately id targets- some nuggets will give a mix of ferrous and non ferrous signal, some larger pieces are highly conductive and small pieces are only low conductive, meaning that any machine with discrimination will leave gold behind if you rely on discrimination to determine which targets to dig. You should dig every target in a goldfield for this reason. Then you also have gold that is underneath trash- if your machine tells you a target is rubbish and you walk away you may have potentially left a great nugget behind that was deeper underneath the trash target. For gold prospecting machines, the most important aspect is it's ability to eliminate the signals from ground mineralization- that is what lets the machine see the tiniest pieces right down to the absolute deepest pieces- this is where Vlf detectors (with discrimination) fail in goldfields. Their technology can't handle highly mineralized soil resulting in drastic loss of depth and sensitivity.

using the same size coil on the 5000 will put it at a big disadvantage- ie using an 11" on both machines. The 8*6 coil on the 5000 is far more sensitive
