Great video man. That's a lot of good info. It does sound like a stronger signal to me as well, But better ID numbers with the software update. Glad you shared this. Thank you. You probably figured this out by now but you can open up those ferrous windows up. When good targets are in bad soil or are mixed with a lot of iron, the good targets generally go right in those areas on the 2D screen "TNsharpshooter" has a good "bird dog" window to open up. "Slow and low" has those windows opened up as well. Good mixed targets seem to fall in those ferrous areas. Best to go into custom ferrous and open them up. Normal iron targets aren't generally falling in those areas without a good target. Your target's in your soil are in those areas that they opened up.

That is true, Sidd Perry from the UK shows the same in his videos.

What very interesting video.......once again it proves that when in the goldfields, for the most part, dig everything!

A great video! Fortunately I don't hunt truly mineralized ground that much but if I do, I will remeber your video. Looks like low conductor AT with recovery speed of 6 works the best with the new update. Hopefully an update from Minelab will be forth coming. I would imagine the gold hunters in Australia will be screaming about this update. Their ground is horrible for mineralization.

Everyone I know that has mild soil has no problem with the update. Australia has different mineralization than the Western US and that's the problem. Western US magnetite Australia Maghemite. Maghemite is more common in the Eastern US as well. So those in the East are probably not having issues either. I'm sure Minelab tested the update for their soil type and it has no issues there.

@@RelicsRings I hunt up in Culpeper VA and the red soil is nasty. Only thing that truly works in this area is the Minelab GPX. However, the GPX has its limitations in iron infested areas. If Minelab comes out with an update for bad ground......it could be a game changer. My Nox is only good to about 5' inches in Culpeper before all signals turn to iron if deeper.

@@ronaldstump6179 I have hunted Culpeper myself quite a bit. The GPX is definitely the best choice for that area.

Sounds like there definitively needs to be an update to the update, I just hope the update to the update doesn't screw up the benefits I'm seeing with the update in my soils. Maybe we wil end up with many updates like the Legend until they get it right. I think I said update too much :)
