Just picked this up today. I also got it with my work bonus. Had a cheap bounty hunter from the pawn shop and the 440 blows it out of the water. I'm excited and can't wait to get started.

Nice content I am really considering this model...seen a few guys who are really into the hobby test out this mod and say it's definitely up there with the good ones....plus minelab are the only ones who hold this technology that no one else has...thanks bubba

Hello there from deep North part of Canada! I was like you there 2 years ago after just taking my retirement looking everywhere watching 100 s of videos and finaly i had to choose between Vanquish 440 and 540 pro pack for only 100$ more!1 And i went for the 540 pro pack and OMG best choice i made wiith all the extras 2 coils, bluetooth headphones, recharge batteries with the chargeur, rain cover, Multi IQ 1 metter deep in water, !! So i was wondering why you did not go for this 1 for only 100$ more? 440 performances are equal but so much more with 540. Just wondering Yhanks for your video and good tresor hunting with your new toy. God Bless

A signal with id 7 isn't trash , with the 440 you should dig from id 1 or you will miss targets like thin broken gold rings .

I’ve been finding large iron objects in the 15/18 range.started to ignore anything below 17/18.think I need to go back to those fields as I had plenty of 15+ signals.thing is quite a few sound a one way tone after the initial hit,would you dig those .cheers for the video👍👊

Getting my first metal detector and Canadian Tire had the 440 on sale for $352CAD (including tax) so I bought it. Wondering if it is still worth it given the fact it is at least two years old now.

They both have their pluses and minuses. The xterra seems to be a little more flexible. Fully water proof and more packable. The only downside side. Is when it goes dead you’ll have to wait for it to charge, where the 440 uses 4 AA batteries and able to change them quickly and keep detecting. 👍👍. Thank for coming over and commenting. .

Nice Video. I'm thinking about the 440 for the beach. I'm a Gold prospector first. I got the Nokta Makro Gold Kruzer 1st. Finds tiny tiny gold and up. Tried to beach detect with it and yeah dry sands good you'll find everything lol but at 61khz its gonna find every pc of foil lol. As i got more into detecting and the fun of it i wanted a coin and relic machine. The nokta makro GK was so nicely built i thought I'd stick with the Brand. So, i got the Simplex (12-13khz) after tons of research for I wanted to go cheap but still get quality. Its a great machine so good once you learn it and it only takes a trip around your yard to get it down. Now i want a multi frequency detector for Everything else like wet sallty sands and vanquish seems to outperform the single freq detectors on that scene and this price fits the bill. Enjoyed the video. IF you know since u got it 6ish months ago or within the year. What software version did it come with?

Ok, I have a cheap metal detector that's close to 20 years old. Know they've improved. I live in an area full of Iron ore. Is there a way to discriminate it out or will I be losing the valuables too? Old one wasn't good enough to discriminate. Thanks.
