My Expert Senior gramophone plays THE MINER'S DREAM OF HOME, sung by bass-baritone Peter Dawson, from HMV B 3543 of 1930. This was originally a music-hall song, co-written by Leo Dryden, but was appropriated by the balladeers to become a favourite Victorian and Edwardian parlour song.
