My setup is hashtagg h2o lever, hs33 calipers and trialtech water-based rim fluid. I find that I can notice slight brake fluid loss after about 1 week and the lever wiggle (lever moves, caliper doesn't) is most obvious after 2 weeks. So I normally have to top up the fluid through the lever every 1-2 weeks - depends on how ocd I feel.. haha. When I was using royal blood, I rarely needed to top up my fluid. I am not sure if my hs33 is damaged or if topping up water-based fluid every 1-2 weeks is normal. In your experience, do you also need to top up your water-based fluid every 1-2 weeks? I wonder if there is a way to lubricate the caliper pistons so that the the water-based fluid doesn't evaporate so easily. Do your ksi calipers work well with water-based fluid? Congrats on launching them, looks good!!

Thanks for the comment and sorry for the late reply - YT didn't sent me a notification for the latest comments! The fact is that you cannot avoid a bit of leak over time. I don't know if your issue can be isolated in the calipers or the levers but I'll focus on the slave cylinders. As far as I remember with the HS33s, mineral oil was leaking a bit less than the water based trialtech fluid. But the mineral oil couldn't evaporate and this resulted to oil and dirt accumulation behind the brake pads backings. I remember that the trial tech fluid was a bit more clean to work with. As you already know, almost for the past 1year I use the ksi cycling calipers and I don't have such problems! I bleed them with water - regular tap water - and still they don't leak at a noticeable rate. The last time I added a bit of water was at the end of May because I had to go on a trip and I wanted to make sure that everything was fully bled! Also, they don't need as much maintenance as the HS33s. The last time I took everything apart to clean and relube the pistons was on March because I wanted to film the presentation videos before their release! Now it's mid July and I'm thinking that it's time to take them apart to fully maintain them and make them perform as good as new and also to film another video that I'm working on!

Of course mate! Actually there's a traditional distillery in my hometown that produces a very tasty and high quality ouzo 😉
