1:25 That is actually a very nice uncut rough Star Ruby, it has Titanium Oxide (Rutile) in it and you can tell by the chatoyancy on the top and bottom of the crystal. Edit: you might get a good price for that stone even if it doesn't show a star and only has chatoyancy, just because of the color intensity. I wouldn't cut and cab it if it doesn't have chatoyancy from Rutile or Hematite in it though because it makes for a beautiful specimen if it isn't jewelry quality. Never cut stones that aren't fit for jewelry

😮au contraire, mon frere.pretty is as pretty does and in these times that ruby may be just what a young person needs their parent to spend a few bucks on particularly in light of the promise th 4:11 e rutile sheen hints at. love above shove, bruvva.

I get a kick out of how everyone seems to assume that only specimens freshly delivered from matrix need be described for field i.d. At around 150 m.y.o. these rascals have plenty of time to get all alluvial wit it and are fond of hanging out at the beach surfing, bullying the locals and often doing a very passable impression of jade, jasper, and late stage "wtf happenned to my compound hardness?" kyanite Dont be too surprised to pull a glitteringly smoothed kyanite "fan" from the surf that seems to be literally birthing a bouncing baby corundum pseudomorph. God I love rocks.

I have the pink of this ruby, follow my dears, we find precious rubies, sapphires, diamonds, emeralds from one of the beaches, they are priceless.
