Zack! Mineru's body can attach any weapon or materials you find on the ground! meaning you can create some pretty strong combos. Yeah, Mineru kinda gets in my way so I dismiss her spirit from the key items in my inventory. Hope this helps!

I feel like you're better off doing the Dragon Tears before going this far, b/c then you'd have more of a sense of understanding and even recognition when it comes to Mineru, and you may even have the Master Sword before embarking on this last sage quest. But I love how the game handles it even if you haven't -- sending you on the path towards the sword. The dragon tears are a must tho.

i whole-heartedly agree. you kept asking what the "forbidden" thing was they talked about in the memories. Dragon Tears explain all that. just make sure you do them in order!

He really rush the main quests IMO. Lack of health, battery upgrades, and story just make this part of the game harder.

I've seen a few other playthroughs where the same thing has happened and some are even worse -- one is deep into the main story with zero battery upgrades whatsoever, no autobuild, and no knowledge of how any of that even works. I guess folks think viewers want to see the main quest, but this game has so much important stuff sprinkled throughout that I feel it's pretty much necessary to explore and investigate in between temples vs. making a beeline for all the temples and then the castle. My personal playing style has been very different. I spent a fair amount of time completing the map and a bunch of shrines, getting the great fairies and armor/armor upgrades, learning how to use and increase my zonai batteries, and just exploring the landscape to see how it has changed. Won't forget when I went to see the great plateau and first encountered the red hands, then unexpected Yiga assassins in the old man's cabin that lead me on a path to infiltrating their hideout. Went to Tarrey Town just to see what was different or the same there, and ended up sidetracked by side quests that lead me to building a house, etc. Some great story elements all throughout, not just the main quest w/the temples.

Why are they a "must?" If you took a survey, you would see most people saved the dragon tears for very late game, or evenly distributed throughout. If it were a must, then the devs would have had the game stop the player's progress, which was very much so against the vision of this game.

Great episode but as others have said, please complete the geoglyphs/tears. Also maybe a side path to Hateno and Lurelin village. Would love to see side quests / adventures completed before the ending of the game. As always a huge fan.

Yeah the purah Pad upgrades you get from Hateno are VERY useful...namely the warp point ones, but I do admit a lot of those missions would've been a lot easier with Mineru.

54:54 so the whole time before Link faced off against calamity Ganon. They were underneath the kingdom and their bodies decayed over time for thousands of years but were still alive. Just imagine that, those two, one will have his body but is like a mummy and the other one will lose his body but his arm remains inside of Ganondorf. Pretty dark but thats The Legend of Zelda for you

Yeah, It's implied that Calamity Ganon is the hatred Ganondorf felt leaking, but it's actually more complicated than that because as the people mention "The upheavel suddenly happened and changed everything" Zelda actually changed the past in some way, so the BoTW timeline (which doesn't have Zonai technology as it was likely destroyed and sealed away before Zelda showed up) and the ToTK timeline are actually 2 separate timelines. However based on what Rauru said in one of the memories, "I know that man is filled with great evil, That's why I want to keep a closer eye on him" implies he sealed Ganondorf the exact same way, but in the new timeline, Mineru told the constructs to aid Link and keep the Zonai technology alive, while without Zelda, she probably died quietly lamenting her brother's sacrifice. After all, she only agreed there was something she could do after Zelda convinced her and she considered sealing herself in the purah pad. That's likely why all these Zonai ruins "Suddenly appeared out of nowhere" after Zelda went back in time. It's extremely clever.

The Bargainer statutes and Poe currency in TOTK are basically like Kilton and his "Mons" back in BOTW. Mons gave you equipment that allows you to camouflage with monsters and the Poes give equipment to travel the depths easier( I won't spoil what they are).

@@teina123Hehe yeah, Zack and anyone else wondering should know, Poes are literally "Rupees" nothing more. The ONLY point to them is recovering the amiibo weapons (which can all be found in the game without amiibos) and getting some exclusive armor.

So Ganon was a Gerudo long ago and for many generations has sought to destroy Hyrule! It's so crazy to think they keep making each game better and better with different turns that keep us going farther and farther into the past.

It also retcons Ocarina of Time since in that era, Link and Zelda defeated Ganondorf, but in ToTK, it was Rauru. Ganondorf has known to be immortal as the Demon King and often gets resurrected when unsealed, likely based on the curse of Demise, but if this same Ganondorf has been sealed since the founding of Hyrule, it kind of ends up being a retelling of every Zelda game up to that point. Still I think that was the intent, to make Hyrule Historia more of a "Reimagining" based on 30 years of writing.

Though I do wish they handled the 4 elemental sages' "imprisoning war" cutscenes better...literally verbatum the exact same story 4 times. It would've been interesting to hear the different groups have their own take beyond mentioning a different weapon and element of choice. Mineru's was different though, though ironically she doesn't explain how she fought. Just gives more details on what happened after the sages left the battle field and what Rauru did.

Also being in sunlight. If anyone wants to heal gloom and doesn't need to stay underground, just go to the surface. You really don't need Sundelions at all.....except for the final boss fight....which then you REALLY WANT A LOT!

Found shooting bomb at spirit temple bosd stunned it allowing me to hit it three times (even flying version) easily repeated and beat boss, hard lesson used all my meals and almost died until I tried the above😅

I actually did all the memories and got the master sword before heading off to do crisis at hyrule castle thinking it was the end. I wonder what Mineru will say to me since I'll have the master sword when I meet her 😆.

I mean you could still use sun deli one for gloom resistance too, but the armor (Into the depths) makes it where you cna just walk through gloom with out any problem.

Given the Zonai were thriving before Hyrule was founded, very likely. Though I swear having hte Zonai come from the sky really makes the Switch version of Skyward sword feel pre-mature, as it would've been so perfect to replace the Skyloftians with Zonai and have "Link" in that game be a younger Rauru.

Zack, the lord are very important casue they will be very helpful when turning into those statues for valuable rewards. Especially the Into the Depths set, which has GLOOM RESISTANCE, which is going to be very vital when coming across more guys in the depths as well as Ganondorf himself in late game.

Ironically, since Zack is using Amiibo, the poes are redundant. The poes mostly are for those who don't have Amiibo to get the alternate weapons back. (and armor but I have no idea why you'd ever need more than one copy of any armor). It probably would've been better if he didn't use the Amiibo since he'd have to find the exotic weapons, but that's more an experience thing than a youtube thing where hurrying up is more of the goal to keep us entertained.

The Seized Construct fight is braindead if you had the cannon attachment. It literally couldn't do anything to you once you kept blasting it with cannon shots lol

The monsters are not made of gloom, so they are a natural life, but these are copies of them, unlike the past.

And the Blood moon event REVIVES monsters so you can fight them again and collect more material. It also restores ALL standalone items (like single ore chunks) so blood moon is good. It doesn't refill chests, nor ore piles/walls though.

Mineru is great and all regarding her versatility in being able to attach any zonai device to her arms/back, BUT....Nintendo made her damage with those items so weak she's just a JOKE/Meme compared to the other sages. Mounting a cannon to a vehicle or even facing off against a construct that has one fused to them does so much more damage vs one on Mineru's arm it's pathetic. 🙄🙄🙄 They need to scale her damage up to at least be on par with the other sages, AND increase it higher when directly controlling her to make it WORTH using her mech mode vs fighting enemies on foot, otherwise what's the point??? 🤷‍♂

I think boosting her with Sages will probably helps as ALL the sages are ultra weak except Tulin who crits for days. It really is a shame though, but the way enemies scale makes them a pain even with the best combos. Still you can give Mineru your ultra fused weapons for similar effect. It's like Goofy and Donald in Kingdom Hearts though.... you usually don't think to buff your AI controlled ally. I honestly just give her rocks and use her to solve puzzles. but lately I learned giving her those easy to farm construct parts like the dragon heads is far better. since she can use them right away.

@James W. It could be that Purah and Robbie sealed all Sheikah tech that possed a threat to Hyule back underground. Like in "Hyrule Warriors age of Calamity," they are able to somehow hotwire the Sheikah towers into summoning all four divine beasts to Hyrule Castle also including Allied Armies of the Gorons, Gerudo, Rito and Zora.

@@LarisaLam0308That's kind of what makes Gloom a really interesting gameplay mechanic I hope returns in future zelda games. It acting as a limiter to your health meant you can't just waltz in with pockets full of food and Minecraft Steak your way through the game. It does mean you'll want Sundelions yeah, but I like how that "second health bar" kind of forces you to play more carefully and respect gloom. Espeically with the Gloom weapons you get from puppet Ganon being the strongest, but also inflicting gloom on you. I really liked that a lot. Made the final boss fight a genuine challenge.

So Ganondorf used to be the leader of the Gerudo I wonder if this is the reason why they only allow women in their kingdom and also is Zelda going to die to restore the Master Sword as to why she became a legend and what happened to the power she used against the calamity, the triforce, did it get used up and disappeared?

It is not the first time that fact has been explained all arround zelda games. On Twilight Princess they have made it very clear that Ganon was the leader of the Gerudo clan!

That construct thing was so rubbish, when I saw it in the last video I was proper excited for Link on a robot but it just does so little damage, not worth it!

The damage it does is based on the weapon you equip. Give it a gloom sword and it'll put in work. The zonai device weapons though are fairly weak for that point in the game when you're dealing with silver tier enemies....

What bothers me is how a freaking explosive cannon barely does chip damage to this thing knowing Yunobo, Riju and bomb flowers would've leveled the whole pile in a few well aimed shoed. That Zonai cannon is the definition of underpowered....

After all the trouble it takes just to reach the spirit temple I don't get why Nintendo made Mineru so weak. I'm playing this now and just like BOTW this game would be better if it wasn't such a freaking chore to play. The puzzles are cool but the other stuff like battery power, weapon degradation, different types of currencies, way too much time consuming nonsense worry about.
