Yet by the passing of the movies I learned that she always meant well and she cared about her students, the best teacher ever. Someone I would be glad having to teach me. If she had raised Harry, the series would have been over rather quickly. Mostly because Harry would roast the shit out of Voldemort. Edit: Also, Harry would have grown up in Hogwarts thus making him OP beyond belief. The only one that would dislike him would be Filch, but considering he was simping over Umbitch - his voting rights have been suspended indefinetly... he has also been tranfigured into a worm.

At the very least, he meant a lot to her, and she also meant a lot to harry (probably not as much as she cared about him though) especially during the scene where one of the carrows spits at mcgonagall and harry uses the cruciatus curse on them, showing that he really *means* it and wants to cause pain

What I love is a scene in the books when she sees Peeves trying to unscrew a chandelier and she whispers to him at the corner of her mouth that it unscrews the other way to help him cause mischief since it was when umbridge was the headmaster. It really shows how much she hates her and I’m here for it ✨

My favorite scene of all the books and movies came in deathly hallows, but it was left out of the movies Harry and Luna had just infiltrated Ravenclaw Tower, and were about to be caught by the Carrow siblings, and the brother said that they would blame the his sister’s call to Voldemort on the children upstairs. Immediately Minerva said that she would not allow him to blame his idiocy on the children of Hogwarts and he spat in her face. Harry immediately off his cloak of invisibility, and said you should not have done that and then tortured him. Minerva Exclaimed that he shouldn’t have done that, but he responded, but he spat on you! 🥰

Idk, id say it would be pretty close. While Snape was talented in the Dark Arts, Minerva also has a lot of experience, especially being a long term member of the Order, and from the way she was described in the books, she’s a very powerful witch (not as powerful as Dumbledore, but i’d say not too far below). But Snape is also very hotheaded, so I don’t see that helping him in a duel. Also, while Snape had a lot of knowledge, that doesn’t necessarily mean he has great duelling skills. Hermione, for example, is very book smart and knowledgeable, but she even admits that Harry would be a better duellist (more or less, in ootp). and also, snape and mcgonagall literally duelled and snape fleed. While he was performing more ‘powerful’ magic, she was quicker to react and quickly took control of the situation in a way that snape couldn’t.
