It's so nice to know that a good factory game will always be covered by Nilaus "the tutorial"

If you turn the freight elevators long ways then you get 2 separate inputs and 2 separate outputs. You can even use 1 side to send items up and the other to send items down.

I don’t think they work that way. I tested this and several other configurations, and I can’t get more than 1 up lane. You can do 1 up lane and 1 down lane at the same time. But not 2 up lanes. Unless there is some setting I’m missing. I really wish they would work that way, but they don’t.

This game is WAY BIGGER than I thought it would be for such an early access title. When the game is more developed I'm excited to do a playthrough myself!

Wow at what you dug out- I mean blew up for that mine. I do love the large buildings, though, like the vein miner and the new arc furnace...

Wow, this game is even bigger than I expected. Due to lack of time I am pretty hard stuck on reaching science4, to complicated for me. So please continue the series so that I get to enjoy the content I will reach sometime in the distant future, thank you :)

i just love this game..I played it for only a few hours(mostly starting over) then seen the road map from devs and decided im going to wait for a bit more updates..i find my first time playing a game threw is the best and coming back with new updates but after i play for 100 hours is just not the same and never truely draws me back in.

You made all that space, you could have put the wafer factory down there! Telluxite is the only ingredient you need and it's not needed for anything else. The exposed or vein would also look really cool covered in lights I think...

Which is to say (to put a more positive spin on it), your underground cavern is inspiring but its potential needs to be realized!

completely understand you stopped the twitch bit for this series! there's alot of points where its not interesting for you and the viewers to just dig a cave with explosives :) hope the series keeps going on for a while!

Found it FAR easier to just elevator down to an ore vein, place the miner, delete the elevator & just run a spiral belt up the shaft with wall electrical posts going down. Boom done. Plus ore miners do not need a foundation. 2 yellow belts with miners will fully saturate a level 3 belt.

I got to the end of what's there for now. It needs a lot more love before I even think of going back. At least templates are a must. Creating a huge factory without them is just pain. Literal due to RSI. Some easier way of getting to small veins must happen too. TNT gets annoying eventually. But... It really will be and is an excellent factory game!

As much as I am enjoying this content I would vote for just waiting until they release the tools to make your experience better, you spending a bunch of time on inefficient building doesn't make a lot of sense to me if the game's in early access.
@aaronoziel4098 ай бұрын
If he's having fun, I say let it keep going. On the other hand, if things get too frustrating due to a lack of features, I think I'm with you. With such an early access title there will be a lot of QOL in updates to come so taking a break until they arrive is fine by me.
@iestynne8 ай бұрын
Yeah it's fun for us to watch the results with his busywork skipped, but it certainly doesn't seem like an efficient use of his time! I've been playing myself and I can testify to just how many hours he's spending off camera doing menial repetitive work. This game needs a massive QoL upgrade

I completely lost interest in this game because there's no end goal. Build for the purpose of building a factory? They lost me there. Factorio, Satisfactory, DSP all had a clear goal you work towards which made it interesting. Even CoI with no clear goal is more interesting because of the gameplay diversity. And in this game apparently rebuilding the station above is not the goal. It was interesting first few hours because there was some kind of mystery. Station not responding to hails. And then BB stopped talking and... that was it. Even the novelty of digging out mines wore off few hours later. I reached oil processing and now I can't force myself to go back to the game. I do like watching Nilaus play so I got that going for me, which is nice.
@danielh.90108 ай бұрын
I have a similar feeling watching this series. The game just doesn't click for me. Satisfactory did (already spent ~1000 hours with that), Factorio did, but Foundry feels somewhat arbitrary und sterile - more simulation than game - to me. Though I can't really say why.
