I have a first doubt and mistrust about Mingyur Rinpoche. He teaches how to take care of my body, excersise, healthy food, sleep, meditation. And suddenly his teaching appear to open my heart to someone who yell at me. So I did. Before when someone yelled at me, I didn't went into any conversation with such a one, I was diving into my heart and safetly staying there. But today I did what Rinpoche asked for. It caused pain. Now there is no more pain, but what next, Mingyur will say, go and let someone hit your body to the pain, or cause yourself other pain and I should listen to the mastery ? I have been fooled again. If you don't like me Rinpoche you could just told me, instead to play on my trust and have your own fun from my naivity.

At the beginning you mentioned political instability and rising different forms of bigotry, and climate change etc.. This videos tips definitely can help but some of this makes me feel hopeless for the future. I often feel like "what's the point to try to get better now, if I don't see a future for myself" Do you have any wisdom for this? I hope that is okay to ask :) Thank you for your teachings here on youtube I only found you recently but you have helped me a lot so far. It also seems like it is your birthday today, happy birthday!

Thank you for your comment 😊3 things that helped me a lot, in addition to the❤ great teachings of Rinpoche and other wise people: ❤ 1) the book Factfulness by Hans Rosling, which explains ❤ 2) KZbin Videos ( esp. by Andrew Millison ) which show how people actually can have a positive impact on nature, eg. India’s Water Revolution ❤ 3) The fact that research and knowledge ( eg. by Brene Brown, Tal Ben Shahar) on human well-being and relationships is now entering organisations, business, leadership training and other important arenas

Seven Ways to Support Your Mental Health with Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, a renowned Tibetan Buddhist teacher, emphasizes integrating mindfulness and compassion into daily life to nurture mental well-being. Here are seven practical strategies inspired by his teachings to cultivate mental health: 1. Embrace Awareness Through Meditation Practice Mindfulness: Meditation is a cornerstone of Rinpoche’s teachings. Sit quietly and focus on your breath or an object, allowing your mind to settle. Start Small: Even five minutes a day of conscious breathing can help. Awareness helps to release emotional tension and brings clarity. Rinpoche says: "Meditation is not about emptying the mind; it's about being aware of the present moment, whatever it holds." 2. Be Gentle with Yourself Stop Striving for Perfection: Rinpoche advises embracing our imperfections and treating ourselves with kindness. Reframe Negative Thoughts: Recognize when you’re being overly critical and replace judgment with compassion. Key Tip: See challenges as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles. 3. Turn Obstacles into Opportunities Transform Suffering: Rinpoche teaches the practice of lojong (mind training) to see difficulties as a way to grow resilience. Find Lessons in Pain: Reflect on how struggles might lead to greater strength and understanding. Quote: "Your panic, your fear, your anxiety can become your best teachers if you learn to work with them." 4. Cultivate Joy and Gratitude Joy in Small Things: Pay attention to small moments of happiness, such as a smile, a kind word, or the warmth of the sun. Gratitude Practice: Each day, list three things you’re grateful for. Gratitude fosters a positive mindset. Rinpoche’s reminder: Joy doesn’t depend on external circumstances; it comes from within. 5. Practice Compassion Toward Others Extend Kindness: Even a small gesture of compassion can uplift your spirit and strengthen your connections. Tonglen Meditation: This Tibetan practice involves breathing in others’ suffering and sending out love and healing. Lesson: By helping others, you transform your own pain into love and meaning. 6. Rest in the Nature of the Mind Understand the Mind’s True Nature: Rinpoche teaches that the essence of the mind is open, clear, and peaceful. Let Go of Identification: Recognize that thoughts and emotions are transient; they don’t define who you are. Practice: When overwhelmed, pause and ask, "Who is experiencing this thought or feeling?" 7. Balance Practice with Daily Life Integrate Mindfulness: Bring awareness into everyday activities-eating, walking, or even cleaning. Take Breaks: Allow time to rest and recharge. Mental health flourishes when life includes both effort and relaxation. Advice from Rinpoche: "Spiritual practice isn’t separate from life; it is life." Final Thoughts Mental health is an ongoing journey, not a destination. Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s teachings remind us that by being present, compassionate, and accepting, we can navigate life’s ups and downs with resilience and joy. Start small, and remember: the path to mental well-being is always within reach. 🌼

What do you think about humanity exploiting, abusing and destroying countless good beings and creations to sustain and amuse themselves while creating and spreading so much filth, perversion and stupidity? What is your opinion of such a species that destroys as much good as possible while creating as much evil as possible, all while portraying themselves as the good guys and those who oppose them as the bad guys? What should we think our “mental health” professionals who encourage us to fully immerse ourselves in all the varying grotesqueries of such ways of life that destroy our character (moral quality) and ruin our minds/souls forever? Should we believe such people are truly intelligent and have our best interest at heart? Is it wise for us to put our well being in the hands of a species whose “best and brightest” encourage us to enjoy harming good beings and creations while serving and pleasuring evil ones? Do the adults of earth have the best interests of their children in mind when they force them to assimilate the opinions and beliefs of evil so they become productive servants of them? Do you ever think about such things?
