If you leave that piece on, where the hinge goes over fold for the book covers, it will lend strenge to that fold so it doesnt tear with use.

I would use a really strong tape to hold pages together because Washi Tape doesn’t stay stuck & it tears without much effort. Your book will fall apart in a short time which would be disastrous after all that work. Strong double sided white tape (like Score- Tape) would hold much longer. Washi Tape wasn’t made to construct items, but for decorative tape. That’s why it’s made to tear easily & unable one to easily lift off to change out or maybe to correct mistakes. And it won’t stay down for very long & is way too thin. I’m sure there are other strong tapes that would work as well. Good luck.🤗😀😊🙂

Katherine Haught Hello! I’m confused by your comment?!? I didn’t use washi tape to adhere anything together is this mini album. I used Helmer’s wet glue. You can you double side tape or red line tape as alternate adhesive options. Happy Crafting 💜

Nice easy to follow tutorial. Thank you for sharing this. I got put off making mini albums as the pages seem stiff and never seem to turn very well, I wondered if it could be down to the cardstock being to thick or perhaps I put my pages to close to the hinge. But after watching this I am tempted to give it another go. Thanks.
