Do you clean and condition the bag? The SA from my country says not to use cleaning lotions and creams? Does that mean no cleaning but I can condition my bag?

I do for some of my bags that get daily use, this one will probably remain a more “events” bag or when it really goes with my look so I don’t think I’ll need to clean or condition it
