Well, finally! I know what that screw on the mini’s handle is for. And why anybody might use it. Was a why not buy when I was buying 14 inch bolt cutters to attempt to take down fencing on an old dog pen. As an elderly woman the staple remover wasn’t working well for me in freeing from the posts. I predict soon me wearing safety glasses and finding some things to snip now. The screw did drive me nuts wondering why it was even there.

Thanks for the cool video, I just picked up a pair of these to cut wire clothes hangers. My adjustment/stop screw barely reaches the other side of the cutters is that a problem. I like that comment "holy hell no they won't cut that link" lol.

I wouldn't sweat it, personally. It should be fine unless you're really going nuts (like standing on the handles or squeezing them in a vise).

Yes, you can. When you put a dent in it, go to the other side and do the same. Then repeat the process as needed on those two dents, it is usually just a few times on each dent. The deeper the dents will be, the weaker the metal will be, and it will just snap. It is more about the technique, and not so much about the strenght.

The little screw above the grips can be adjusted to prevent the jaws from coming all the way together. That's the only jaw adjustment on most of these sorts of cutters.
