Glad to see you’re back at it after the Batgirl video. I very much appreciate your channel for the authenticity of it! I’ve enjoyed all of your videos and even built my own Casioak after seeing how good the watch looked after your modification. Keep making videos! It seems like you get some of the higher quality watches from your sources! Keep it up. Would really enjoy a video on your personal collection and daily wearers. Would also like your opinion on other brands that might not fit the “luxury” standards. Brands more affordable than Rolex, Omega, etc. I’m in the US and would certainly not want you to ship a watch this far. But I did want to answer your question and give you my opinion. Thanks again.

Can the watch dial of ga 2100 fit in the gma s-2100?

Ga2100 is 45.4 mm diameter, and gmas2100 is 42.9 mm diameter, so NO, since they are different sizes...

Thank you for commenting. The Seiko modding community is probably the largest and most creative. I feel like an outsider with their watchmaking skills and ability to produce great dials, etc. You may find researching the Seiko Fifty Fathoms mod interesting.

Thank you. The original white watch is very good. Also well designed for smaller wrists thn the GA. The mods fit a very narrow gap of wrist sizes 7 to 7 and a half inch. Go for the original Casio.

It was my expectation too. But the size of the mod did not change that much. The GMA is very pretty without the mod though. But the whole point of doing this was to find out if the new watch would suit thinner wrists.

@@Watchatete It's really interesting...the 5 mm reduction in casewidth seems like a lot, but this video really shows how it's not much of a reduction. It's the lug to lug that really makes governs the wearability in this case. I'm still thinking of picking up a GMA and mod kit, but honestly I'm less inclined after watching this video. I'm wondering if the rubber strap mods mitigate the lug to lug distance a little, but I'm hesitant to shell out the cash to find out. I really wish there was more content like this, showing objective comparisons and not focusing on hype. Keep up the good work.

I really enjoyed watching this video and am currently in a dilemma on whether to go for the GA or the GMA... I think I'd prefer the GMA but have been really struggling to find the mod kits for them, the net just seems to be flooded with the kits for the GA. I'm new to all the modding game but have been a massive fan of G Shocks for some years now so have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your content! Thanks again for sharing such a great video and for offering to give the watch away, which is very generous of you and something I'm sure many people will appreciate especially in these difficult times! Having only just come across your channel I haven't yet seen what content you have but on videos such as this, it would be great if you could post some links to where you purchased the watch and mod kit! Hi, appreciate your feedback. This is a big issue. As I progressed from owning 3 Seiko Kinetics in a row to Heuer, Tudor and eventually Rolex. It was actually buying these watches that made me start this channel, As it is a different experience, getting to the level of luxury watches, You need to change the attitude as these things are to stay with you, so no impulsive buys. I guess that it is a different experience with everyone, you are getting a taste of mine. Also I am very concerned about the murkiness of the borderline between 'affordable' and 'outright illegal'. Please do not feel offended. I still love my Seiko Turtle. Actually took it for a swim. Would never consider having so much fun with a Rolex or Omega.There are good watches at any price category.

Сам хотел купить мини версию с зеленым циферблатом и поместить их в металлический корпус с браслетом. Но увы. Расстояние от ушка до ушка не изменили. Хотя этот ход был бы логичным, часы не большие так и мод надо уменьшать, но у китайцев другое мнение:) Ожидаем новых модификаций иди же ждем когда касио сделает мини модели с металлическим безелем и металлическим браслетом. Thanks for the great video. I have been interested in this mod and the same colour-way. The other colours are a bit too feminine. I was looking at many reviews of the larger version videos and my wrist is way to small at 170mm. Its a shame they cant interact with the rubber straps the seller has available. I would love to see the mod with the rubber straps in the future. Your time and content is much appreciated.

Thank you for your comment. Wish I could combine a Gen 2 mod bezel with the original rubber strap. Can only do for GA-2100 but you wanted the white dial. This is a possibility for Gen 2 bezels. And I think that I watched a couple of vids suggesting this option. My wrist is 180mm so not a direct comparison. Maybe Casio will release a steel bezel version in the near future. But your comment will be in the running for the prize. Still 3 weeks to go.

Keep the watch as is. There is a new model with stainless steel bezel that was jusy released by Casio. GA-S2100. Check out the new ref. Better save the money for the new watch.

Can you use the mod with the stock strap the watch comes with? If so, does the mod suits smaller wrists?

There are 2 generations of the mod. Gen 1 has the bezel independent of the bracelet and gen 1 bezel can be used with G-Shock original straps. Gen 2 has the bracelet attached to the bezel and thus can only come with the mod bracelet (no optons(. So yes, you can use the steel bezel with original strap bt you will be looking ito gen 1 mod.

This is not as straight-forward. Generaion 1 mod had the brcelet independent from the replacrment bezel, while the Gen2 mod had the bracelet attached to the bezel. Gen 1 mod bezel can be combined with original Casio straps, while the Gen 2 mod is limited to the bracelet that it comes with. Use the Gen 1 mod kit to get more variations of different straps

I have the exact same problem with the 6.00” wrists. Tried on both the GA-2100 and the GMA-S2100, and the answer was obvious. There is no way I can pull off a GA. In fact, the GMA, for me, at 43mm across, is the absolute limit as far as size goes without looking ridiculous (To me. If you love the big watch look go for it!) That said, this watch is truly a thing of beauty. The only thing I absolutely hate about it are the original straps. They just feel too plasticky. I’d prefer a rubbery/silicone feel. Therefore, I will be getting this steel bezel for my GMA but with the integrated rubber straps. Thanks for a great review and tutorial. 🙂👍
