Roughly 1-2% of the assessed value. Put your homestead and other exemptions on there and it caps to no more than a 10% increase year over year! A lot more manageable than some might expect!

I've actually I've been in this model home with the 3 car garage i believe....the rooms feel small and the halls/walkways are narrow. My wife and I decided not to pursue. Overall it's not a 400k texas home.
