Sorry I’m so late to this comment!! That was my Christmas tree worm rock! It’s a rock covered in porites coral, and it’s then in a symbiotic relationship with the crabs and worms you see in the clip! A very fun piece and hope to get my hands on another soon.

Did you end up having any issues with this tank’s lighting? As in the light getting super hot after around a minute of use?

I have the same light but a different style of 40oz. It does not get hot at all, been running a week so far. The corals are really happy and growing fast.

@@RipPhillips I didn’t have to do any work on the tank other than set up! Tons of things you can do to mod it but I’ve kept it simple.

Maybe the heater goes between the sump and the bamboo base? (Works as heat pad essentially)

Put some GSP in there. It wil cover one of the rock completley and be nice and lumo. Plus GSP is bulletproof so it should be fine in that mini tank that might have some stability issues.

The lowest price I've seen has been the Cunzo straight from a wholesaler. Quality in it was actually fantastic, could get 4-5 of them for the price of name brand

Just way too small mate for salt. I wouldn't go past 37L (10gal) if it was me. And I think am crazy for about to do one that is 51L. But I guess you could use it for an isolate tank which is all I can think of. But I still would use a something like 18L(5 gal).

One thing I can not understand is you have cold water fish that can live in a pond or lake as well as a tank and warm water fish that are tropical which MUST live in a tank with a heater. Yet that isn't at all reflective of the marine environments over the global, there are hot countries and cold countries and many temperatures between. So where are the fish that are not from a hot environment or a cold environment? Moderate temperatures for example? because when I have had fish tanks, there seems to only be a choice of one or the other.
