These are one of the quietest small cars on the road. Very little wind or road noise. I had a 2016 Cooper S, superb on long journeys. Id rather have this 1.5 auto nowadays though for pottering round town but is superb on motorways when required. Very stable solidly made car.

Thats what im thinking as well. These are solid well made cars, very reliable. Stable, quiet and refined on motorways. I had the Cooper S manual, 2016 model, premium car. To be honest this 1.5 is quick enough for daily use, the auto box is very good.

Hi Johan. Great review as always. I test drove the SD 168bhp here in the UK. Really quick car. But that 1.5 is impressive. Of course you have great smooth roads ova there. As you have driven a hell of a lot of different cars. Which one would have as your daily car if money was no object. Tough question I know.

The 6 and now 7 spd auto actually shifts very fast and acceleration is quicker than with the manual.

@@davides2568 Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Porsches is meant to be driven with manual transmission. Bentley is for comfort, and the owners don't drive them, themself, so their drivers needs automatic transmission, so make their job easier. I have a Ferrari Testarossa and and a Porsche 996 Turbo my self. Both manual. ;)
