I Have this issue issue with my Cooper 2001 R50. It's intermittent but it's pretty constant now. Car seems fine otherwise. I'll try the sensors

You don't actually need the sensor...chop it off and join both wires.

Tried this btw, chopped off the abs sensor and joined both wires, didn't work lol. What a waste of time
