In the straight sure..but corners and braking the Mini will rule regardless of the driver! I have taken down many Corvettes in my R53 ;)

Well known it's easier to follow another driver, but credit to the mini driver, excellent lines through the corners. A little more power to the mini, and the beemer would be in the the mini's rear view mirror.

Superb driving. You was pushing the m3 to his limit! Plus the mini would have suffered from a bit of heat soak and power sap for the charger R53mcs for the win! If the mini had 20 more hp would have got past that silky smooth straight 6. Great driving from both, and excellent times. 💯✌️💯

The guy in the M3 just doesnt want to wreck his car.. You can tell from miles away he's driving carefully & I think he doesn't know the Ring that well, in some corners he turns in to early. Anyway, great driving in the Mini! This summer i'm going to the ring in a brand new Boxter S. Me likey :D

I own a Mini Cooper S R53. I don't know what you guys are saying. He's shifting on time and perfectly releasing into gear without any hiccups. The R53 S isn't a forgiving car if you can't shift properly. Very good driver though.

340 hp but 1400 kg, against 1150 kg and 220 cv of your mini, great challange men. The mini is much more better in the change of direction, and the mini driver is better. The m3 wrong to much corners, but the m3 chassis was great like his engine and SOUND.

I think if that Mini had just another 40 hp it would have been over for the BMW, he was struggling to keep the Mini from passing in the corners and that is what makes a Mini so tough is there ability to corner.

The mini driver is just better than the one in the M3. Good trajectories and he knows the track. 8'30"ish BTG is a very good lap, especially when the track is busy. He could have been faster without the black noisy car in front of him !

Impressive driving on that mini. Far better than the M. I wish you could have had my mini for that run, you would have spanked that M3 (the M was clearly lowered and modded). Your mini was struggling to hit 110MPH in those straights so it must not be very modded. The way my mini is currently set up, it hits 115 before you realize it. :)

sometimes i wish i was still in the US army in Germany i was getting my modified 2001 Lincoln LS which was state side ready to have it shipped over so i could drive it on the ring but then it got wrecked. now i'm not in the army anymore but i wish i could take my modified 2005 Lincoln LS which is faster and more powerful than the last one on the ring which will never happen now. :(

Lotta people dont realize, that Mini's can have a low amount of HP because of how small they are... so a mini have 230+ Hp is almost comparison to a BMW having 300-400HP... The tinier the better, love my mini as well :P.

Ive owned both an R53 and an E46 M3. The M3 was one of the most disappointing cars Ive ever owned (ive had over 40)..It was a very capable car, but also very flawed. It tries to do too may things and doesnt excel at any of them. it isnt a sports car, its a GT car, but it isn't comfortable enough to be luxurious, it isnt excting or engaging enough to deliver real thrills. The R53, although much less powerful, has a directness to it, and a level of involvement that the E46 cannot match. I only kept the E46 for about 9 months because I grew to hate the Getrag manual box. Glad I had one though, but I'd never have another M car. R53 for the win!

Are you on crack my man? The E46 chassis is awesome when the floor is still attached. Even the 330Ci is a hoot, I have that thing sideways everywhere. My current vehicles are R53, 330Ci, 951, and 9000 Aero--and I honestly will pick the 330 over the R53 almost any day. The R53 is video-game easy to drive quickly, so maybe you're mistaking that for "involvement." I've had 36 cars, btw, so my credentials are in order.

It's an E92 BMW M3. 414 BHP. I think that car realistically would blow the mini out of the water. Sorry mini guys. I own a mini S but still give props to BMW. Unless something else entirely aftermarket was done to the Works mini I don't see how that is possible. Ahh... I see the E46 now. Sorry, I saw the white BMW at the beginning. Good race! E46 should have around 333BHP. Front wheel drive vs. rear wheel drive. Awesome race.

E46 CSL M3 with around 390 hp actually. And this is not an R53 S, it's a JCW, and probably heavily modded if it can remain this close to a CSL.

@Exlipbit The JCW driver is not a "great driver" but he's still pretty good. The M3 driver could take turns faster, and he could improve his lines. Put the same driver in each car and the M3 is a lot faster.
