I have it on my electric motor it works great. Also if I shut the boat off and drift I can turn the motor and the boat can be steered like that. I was in some wind driven chop and shut off the motor and let the wind and water push me for a little while as an experiment to see if I could control the boat when not under power. @THE_BaconPirate3 жыл бұрын
@@orangecherokee exactly! I am scrounging up wood pallets and dismantling them for the material. I've found an awesome source, the local Honda powersports dealer. They get in these really huge pallets with jet skis or quads on them, they give me the used pallets for a buck each. Also, they are usually made of Oak! Another good source to look for is your local printing company. Chances are they get press paper (large sheets, not rolls) shipped on heavy duty oak pallets, which usually end up taking up space out back. As always, ask first, or it might be considered theft.

I have to comment again, I'm dying laughing watching your awkward ass getting some good social activity with the wild ass bearded guy from the dock. That dude was all about helping and seeing you succeed with your little boat. If he was drunk it probably would've sucked, but I think he was clean and really having a good time.

Hahahaha totally!!! He was so great! I had a split second of judgment against him walking up but I quickly changed my mind and gave him a chance and he proved me so wrong!! He has NO idea how much better he made my experience and all of our viewing experience! I dont think he knows what youtube is even to be honest. Which I loved

currently I am working on my own mini boat. it's 7' long and I'm going to make it an inboard with a small harbor freight engine. I am mottling it after a 2001 series correct craft ski nautique in maroon red because that is the boat that my grandfather owns
@americanboathead53903 жыл бұрын
That sounds sweet! I really like minis inspired by big real boats!

@@americanboathead5390 currently I am working on the haul, the next step is to sand parts of it down, caulk the seems, and fiberglass, me and my grandfather are working on it, not the one who owns the real boat though. its going to be my summer project, and I just graduated the 8th grade. another thing i made was a custom Chopper Mini bike which I welded together myself

Maybe if you move the motors further apart that may improve the turning performance.

I would like to figure out how to make a little faster motor gas or electric but keep it cheap. I wonder about big RC airplane brushless motors, but boat props are expensive and hard to come by
@americanboathead53903 жыл бұрын
Someone with the right knowledge could do alot with some lipo and brushless tech! And for sure need better prop!
