Kap, I have the TB260, a 2019 with 469hours on it, I can tell you right now, my Tb260 is a great all all around machine, and haven't had a problem yet. I stayed away from Bobcat, cause I always here of electrical problems.

Yeah I would have loved to try out this machine a lot newer, lol. I'm going to try to find out if they turned it down or not. I know tak makes a good line of machines. But I do love my bobcats they have been amazing. Made them things do some tasks that they probably were not meant to! Have a good one

I get a kick out of how the bucket wiggles around on the pins. When I used to deliver septic tanks I had a customer with a John Deere 690. The pins in it where so bad the bucket flopped around 3 times as much as the Takeuchi. Always wondered when his bucket was going to fall off. :):) The good old days :)
@kapperoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
lol I'm not sure I'd have wanted to lift anything heavy with a bucket that loose!! Cheers
@Sgt_Bilko3 жыл бұрын
It would at least be worth a follow up on whether the Tak is derated or not. They have a solid rep and the advertised specs are way higher on the 260 than the E42. A 260 is supposed to be almost 13k bucket breakout vs 9600 for an E42. The E55 and 260 have nearly identical advertised arm force ratings.
@kapperoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I'll try to do that thanks. I know they are solid machines

Hey there Kap & Curtis. Good seeing you guys going at it in the Illinois soil. I would have enjoyed having either of those nice excavators to clear the tiny micro plot I attempted to clear several years ago by hand. I do know one thing, I will no longer cut trees off at the base without leaving a considerable amount of tree to use as a leverage in removing them. That's pretty difficult when clearing lob lolly pines that have a serious tap-root. Those tap-roots are like giant carrots that grow directly down into the soil and at various depths, the primary tap-root sprouts side roots to make them more stable in the ground.
@kapperoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
lol well we've all been there starting out on our own with land clearing! I hear you man! Not fun by hand! Did you do the excavator rental? Hope you got some stuff done.

@@kapperoutdoors Nope, I didn't rent and I wish I did but decided to save the $3k+ to use towards a 22 foot tilt trailer. Man, the toys always seem to need more stuff to haul them around, LoL.

Hard to say for sure. A lot of excavators do rent them, and I'm not sure they'd be happy with a machine turned down? Could just be worn hydraulic pumps?

Just sitting in the cab with you, (on video), the Tak was noticeably louder and that whine would get old quickly! The Bobcat was hands down quieter! As far as the digging power, the operator would have to judge that, but as others have said, i'm sure the power has been derated on the rental!

Joe could there be a power setting you might be missing in the green machine how many hours on it? Cup holder and ac? ❤️. Seems like 3000 pounds more, would be a powerhouse is the engine bigger than the BOBCAT E42r I be the one to bit, what’s the E42r stand for? And finally price. Just wondering if comparing apples to apples. My first mower was a Allis Chambers 10 HP and it was built like a tank, it mow down anything this new 25 HP zero turn would, but it was geared so low it was a pulling powerful machine and not a speed machine. Just thoughts. Heck first comment lol
@kapperoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
As far as I know there is/was not a power setting for the hydo pumps, i.e. dig force. I know bobcat does not have that and they have about every option under the sun. Although skid steers do have a lot of adjustments like that. All I know for sure is I like the new bobcat, no doubt on that one :) Thanks.

We did a side by side with a Bobcat E20 vs aTak TB 216 and an E55 vs a TB260. Both size Bobcat's easily beat out the Tak's, comfort, power, smoothness, stability etc. Went with Bobcat (looking at a fourth Bobcat soon). Deal support is the same so that wasn't the issue, everybody including myself just liked the Bobcat's a lot more. Thank you Kapper for the video!

Obvious this guy has a thing against Takeuchi. Bobcat has a terrible reputation for their mini x lineup over the years, while Takeuchi has a terrific reputation. Something is definitely fishy here, or it's just not making stock hydraulic pressure. There's not much that will out work a Takeuchi, and definitely not in the price range.
@kapperoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I've got nothing against takeuchi at all. And who says Bobcat has a terrible reputation?? You do know that they actually created the skid steer right, and their R&D is light years ahead of the pack? We're just having fun and calling it like we see it. I will try to find out if the tak was turned down.
@davidstinson38303 жыл бұрын
@@kapperoutdoors You know Takeuchi created the mini excavator right? And no, bobcat is nowhere near the front of the pack, let alone ahead. They're just ho hum. Gotta get seat time in other machines. I think bobcats newer mini X's are okay, but the older ones were hot garbage. Their newer skidsteers however are nowhere close to Takeuchi. Just depends on what you want I guess. I want bulletproof machines that work hard, not dealership queens.
