I was working on another project ( Christmas eve for Christmas day) and had to frog 12 rows of black yarn. I decided I needed a disgruntled amphibian to keep me company. He's wonderful. Great pattern and great instruction.❤ Merry Christmas and Happy Hogswatch.

I absolutely love this pattern. I've made a dozen or more and just can't stop. I know we're smack in the beginning of Bugsmas, but for me, it's Frogsmas! Every new variegated yarn screams, "See what kind of frog I make!" Such joy!

I have made over 2 dozen of these guys to date its the only pattern i have made this many times, i make the frogs then add hats and mushrooms ect on their backs the year it came out they were everyones chrimas gift i just i love this pattern its just tricky enough to not be boring but short enough to work up fast i love it like 100% adictive to make its my fav frog pattern i will probably be making frogs witg it forever because i love it THANK YOU for sharing it

I actually crochet one rainbow frog, from your pattern, but super small. With a 1,5 mm hook, but with only one color changing yarn. He is even smaller than the frog from this video and he will be a Christmas present for a frog loving friend of mine ❤️
@ComplicatedKnots2 жыл бұрын
That sounds so tiny! I think 2mm hook is the smallest I've ever really used.

Omg he is so adorable! Matches my name XD. I got the cockatoo which is my first favorite animal and now a frog for my second favorite type of animal! I didn’t get time to make any of them though . 😅 I have no idea what tomorrow is, maybe because I don’t live in Australia XD. I will have to go with those lemurs because they have very long tails!

I've made a few of your frogs before, but I love how tiny this one is! Also, Walter is the perfect name for your wombat. I have no idea what tomorrow's critter is, but I'll guess possum? I don't know if they have curly tails, but I think it would be cute

Just finished mine! I somehow managed to forget one toe on one of his back legs, but he's still adorable! My guess is maybe either a possum or a lizard of some type, I'm not really sure. Super excited, though!
@swacksweakley3287 Жыл бұрын
@complicatedknots I’ve made one and winged it at this part but it did end up putting the back legs a little crooked. On row five, you end with 16sc then row six ends with 19 stitches without any increases? Am I misunderstanding? It’s 15 around and then all the leg stitches get added to the front loop of the 16th stitch so where do those extra three stitches come from? He’s so adorable and I want to be able to make him come out just perfect like yours! Love everything you share ❤

I'll do mine in black and yellow, like the corroboree frog. So many curly tail Aussie animals. Possums have curly tails and what about the tails of the long-tailed bush mouse? I don't have a clue otherwise.

Off the top of my head, I'd just change colours when working any stitches that fall between the feet. :)

Idk if this is the same mistake, but during round 5 whcih is just 16sc after making the eye bulbs, I was also single crocheting into the slip stitch of the eye bulbs from round 4. Don’t count the slip stitch from the eye bulbs in round 4 as stitches. Just skip them in round 5 and you’ll have 16sc and it will look fine

@chloeueckert8722 Жыл бұрын
Okay so I guess you aren't supposed to count the slip stitch from the top of the eye sockets? So I just skipped that during round 5 and that left me with 16 stitches.

He's so angry! Cranky little curmudgeon 🥰 So, curly-tailed critter? To be curled, you must be long. Long tails are used for balance, and often involve climbing. Probably spends a lot of time in high places and vegetation. Chameleons and seahorses aren't from Australia. There's lots of rodent types with long tails, but none of them are curled. Y'all don't have any monkeys or lemurs, afaik. Soooo....possum?

Could be a pig, they have curly tails. I have my family input here.
