Mini Heatwave Brings Lots of Surprises! Zone 10a

We got 80 degree temperatures for a couple of days this week here in the SF Bay Area, and it really did the garden some good. Tomatoes are still producing, and it looks like I'm going to get some peppers after-all! Hope your gardens are still going strong! God bless! 🤗🌿🌺🏵️

We also love basil over the sunny side up eggs..... i nurse my basil plant back from the heat in Concord and it was beautiful. I was getting ready to have some spaguetti with fresh made pesto..... Well, the local squirrels are kind of gourmet.... they had the whole plant! only the twigs were left.. I guess we are called to share the wealth. 🪴

@@irmaq4072 I'm so sorry the squirrels ate your basil, especially since you had to nurse it back from that Concord heat! 😟 Annie's in Richmond is having a 40% off sale this Saturday and Sunday if you want to buy another plant. Our dogs do a pretty good job of keeping out the squirrels. If you don't have dogs, you could try covering your basil with some kind of netting. Good luck to you, and thanks for watching! 🌿🏵️🌺🌿
