If you wanna try more psychologically damaging series, you should try The Horizon. Its only 3 volumes long and even though technically a drama, not horror it still definitely packs a punch

I'm going to have to look into Daisy Jealousy because it sounds fantastic. This is such an interesting selection of genres and definitely some series/volumes I've never heard of. That's always so much fun to see in videos. I haven't started Killing Stalking, but I've seen the people romanticizing it and it blows my mind. It's kind of like the people who view Nabokov's Lolita as a 'beautiful romance' instead of a book that is just focusing on the thought processes of a man who is a pedophile. I'm always surprised by what people can romanticize. Trashy reads are sometimes the most fun 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm also trying to focus my purchases a little more so I'm more finishing series that I'm already collecting instead of starting new ones until I've read far more of my manga TBR. As always, great video and have a wonderful week!

Lolita is a fantastic example! And it shows how easily consumers can get distracted from the more problematic aspects of some of these stories if they are hidden behind a shiny and attractive exterior. I’m always trying to read outside of my comfort zone because I feel like there’s so much to discover and that makes reading more fun but trashy reads are necessary for balance, you get me 🤣 Focusing on collecting a couple of series has also been helping me with impulse purchases, which has been great. Happy reading and I hope you have a lovely week as well 🤗
