When there's a minimap all it takes is one glance in the top corner. It speeds the game up massively and creates a better flow. It makes the game so much more enjoyable imo.

I played for about 5 hours, I was so hyped for this...at first I was like, ok this is different. I just gave up in the end, I'm not having fun... I really don't like the maps, they are too complex, and in addition with the no mini map thing, I always get lost...it is very difficult to get used to. I really want this game to succeed and be the king once again...and this comes from a hardcore MW fan... I just can't understand how they managed to keep me up playing MW2 till this day, but with MW 2019 this mess... I hope they listen to the community. Greetings from Greece!

That’s a good thing that there’s not predictability, if the gameplay was predictable it would get repetitive and boring a lot quicker. I’ve played call of duty for a long time and I’ve played with the mini-map on. It’s true, it’s hard to find the enemy without it. At times it tends to get frustrating. I somehow adapted to the no mini-map gameplay but at the end of the day I need for info on where the enemy team is at as well as where my teammates are. I honestly prefer the mini-map because that’s what I’m more comfortable playing with.

I’m pretty indifferent about the radar but if I was forced to change it I’d add a radar back but only show where teammates are. You can get a snapshot layout of the map around you and you can see the general area of where your team is and where the enemies should be going. A pinging radar is only 3 kills. As much as I enjoy playing this game, it almost feels at the same pace as WW2. And Im not sure thats a great thing. Not really. Most of the time the dots are bunched up so you can't get a clear read of the distance of the shot. Not to mention the dots last too long. Doesn't help that the footstep audio is the same regardless if it's an ally or enemy. Which leads to you whipping a full 180 and shooting just because you saw a dot in the area and it turns out it's a teammate.

does the personal UAV have UAV sweeps or not? Just curious

Ryan Gorman it doesn’t sweep but it sometimes does a brief ping of nearby enemies. But the ping is inconsistent in my opinion.

Because they want people to Use map Knowledge. Sound. Uav kill streak. Compass at the top of the screen to play. For me I play hardcore shooter games or “milsim games” on Pc so me personally I’m used to not needing a radar. Obviously not everyone plays milsim / hardcore shooter games as me. They are taking a bit more tactical lane. I like it personally. Especially with the new engine and sound. It’ll be fine

I have been playing COD since 2011. When people ask for tips on how to get better i always say "Spend 70% of your time looking at the map" They learn the maps quicker, they learn the spawns, they know that with their team spawning in one place the other team will be in another. HOWEVER this game is meant to be different to other COD's, more realistic/gritty. The game you would compare is insurgency. As someone who rely's on the mini-map i struggled with not have a map in any FPS i play but as i play more games that don't have maps it becomes more and more normal and the game finds its own identity. I don't mind either way, the game becomes it's own or i dunk on people even harder in Pubs xD
