Great looking Minimax! I really like everything about your project - especially the engine. :) Most of us Minimax builders used the Rotax 503 (I wore out two on my EROS.) A note on your airplane's possible longevity: I flew my EROS 1650 for over 13 years - put over 750 hrs on it (was trying to hit 1,000 hrs, didn't quite get there). Was never in a hangar - put all of the hanger fees into the gas tank! Retired it a couple of years ago - needed a new fuselage (Florida WX finally got to it. :) And, I had no place to work. Again, you did a great job on yours. If I could offer two small suggestions (garnered by my experience) Use only auto fuel 1/4' i.d fuel lines - the other fuel lines WILL break off at their connections, even out of the sunlight. And, most important, install a "parallel" fuel system, using a 12vdc facet pump (or similar). Saved me twice, when my pneumatic pump quit. Good luck with your cool plane! N-6395T

I've always thought of a Mini Max as an ultralight. I'm guessing this one's too heavy for that???

How do you fold up the wings to trailer it?

+CHOPPERGIRL AIRWAR You don't fold the wings, you remove them completely. Not a hard job a couple bolts and controls good to go. 10 mins or so they an be off or on.

It's just a hinge on the trailing edge of the wing, instead of a bolt. You take the front bolt out, and the wing will swing on the back hinge backwards to fold up against the side of the plane over the rear tail.. and then you can roll the whole thing by picking up the tail wheel into an enclosed trailer
